Seeing something like this destined to be destroyed makes me almost physically ill. And for what? A soulless box? This is what happens when a culture's past is forgotten and thrown away. Thank you for sharing these, Ethan, even though you break my heart on a regular basis. It would be nice if you could find a way to make a business out of rescuing some of these wonderful things, there is a market for it.

Hi CeeTee! I agree completely. I live in a relatively "new" major U.S. city that had so many homes of historical significance from the 1890's to the 1930's that were knocked down, and now there are only a few historical neighborhoods left - and they're pretty small. My own place is only half a century old and it is considered old compared to most. I love older buildings - especially when they could easily be saved. It is such a shame to destroy the house in this video.

Thanks for yet another great video Ethan! I can't help but feel that they sold this house with the hopes of someone moving in, and not just tearing it down. Too much work was put into cleaning it, and normally if you know it's a toss away demo sale, you don't bother prepping it for show. But I imagine the writing was on the wall once they started to see the homes around them getting dozed with new ugly boxes about to go up all around.

WOW! AMAZING HOUSE! What a shame and a loss to have it destroyed. One of the most unique houses I’ve seen. Love the kitchen. I wish that oven could be salvaged. If it has lasted this long it must be so well made. Such a maze of rooms in the lower level. Love the room with the fireplace etc. And the pool house/guest house!! There must have been awesome parties in this house. A shame it will all be erased. I would move in there tomorrow. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I was quite impressed with this one. It seemed to never end. It’s like some dreams I’ve had of being in a house and I just keep finding more rooms. I counted 4 kitchens in this one. The main kitchen, the first downstairs kitchen, the kitchen with the bar and arch, and the guest house kitchen. I would have expected a couple more bathrooms but it seems that there were only 3 bedrooms upstairs so I guess it fits. There was the one bathroom that you had to go through in the basement to get to the big room with the kitchen and brick arch but that was certainly a strange layout down there. Great job.

I loved this house and guest house. So many original elements left, the old tile, brick, etc. I'd love to move in as is and fix it up! I hope that whatever you went through in Feb gets better for you Ethan. ❤ We all hit road blocks, it's part of life, but you still thought of your community and subs. I liked that house!! Too bad their gonna tare it down. Your right it just kept going and going. It actually had 2 garages. The color you were referring to is harvest gold and avocado green which was the fab colors in the day. Our vacation mobile home is from the 70’s and those were the colors in it

Hi Ethan This house was totally AWESOME. That is a word not in my vocabulary. This house blows me away. I can’t believe how big it is. I did not see anything wrong with the house that it should be destroyed. There was one ceiling that was falling in the basement. It just so beautiful why would they want to destroy it. In my opinion this is the best house you have ever done Ethan and you have a lot of great videos but this one takes the prize. Every time you opened another door there was so much more house to see. This house is amazing and just so beautiful. I can’t say enough about it without sounding repetitive. That pool house also was unbelievable with that bar. The bar is beautiful. Just a beautiful place that should not be destroyed. This is a perfect house in my opinion. This truly is an epic adventure. This reminds me so much of houses of my family and friends when I was in my early teens. We had the same exact intercom system in my home. The area that you wondered if a wall had been mostly removed was rather common. It is typically seen in the master bedroom and was referred to a master suite. The bathroom being accessible from only that room made it an en suite and the separation of the smaller area within the bedroom often had comfy chairs, fainting couches or the like. It was a space private to the occupants of the room to read or perhaps watch television. Loved your tour!

That was a pretty awesome tour of that house Ethan! It went on and on never-ending. Loved all of the old ovens, stoves and refrigerators from back in the 70's.
