Just got my ST. Reasons why I bought one: - 117 engine is perfect and needs no upgrade - great suspension - fairing very effective - solid side bags very practical and safe - lean looks
@jimanders9971 Жыл бұрын
It needs an upgrade unless you are happy with anemic power.
@fvgc454ss Жыл бұрын
The 117 definitely needs a cam pipe and tune to make it worth while. I got 10k on mine. Front fork is way too soft for hard riding in the mtns. Front brake rotors wer warped around 7500 miles. The fork being non adjustable is irritating. But overall I like the bike a lot but definitely needs some upgrades if u ride aggressive.

Greetings, Bogan. If you haven't researched it yet, to make it go faster (22:12) you can try the staging kits: Stage 1, Stage 2, or Stage 3. Or, you could switch to a chain final and choose sprockets that change the RPMs to allow a higher red line. Hope this helps. Nice bike by the way. For me, the 2014 Low Rider (two-tone orange/bourbon brown paint) is still one of my favorites. Cheers!

I like that HD is starting to expand their market a bit with the styling of the bike. It’s different from the traditional street or road glides which is nice to see. Color is beautiful, but personally, the fairing is a detractor for me. It’s a bit blunted for my tastes. But that’s the beauty of these bikes, you get to make it YOURS and get it looking like YOU like. You will get the “that’s 391 of 1000, changing anything is going ruin the value”. Bullshit the value is what you decide it is. Enjoy it my friend

Not sure why you are having the pannier problems mate. I bought my LR ST 4 months ago and in 8000klm have never had a pannier come open while riding. Yep great bike, after 25yrs away from HD this one got me back in the team. Cheers Ned

Danny, also in the USA, the tune chip seems to have some sort of limiter on the torque available at any RPMS up to about 500 or 600 miles. That is, it seems to not pull torque off of idle up to 2500 -2800 rpms as it should. You will notice the bike runs a heck of a lot stronger with more torque, by the time to get past 1600 km. It will be VERY noticeable, the change in torque off of idle, once a certain amount of mileage is logged but before your first 1500 km service. Wait for it, it's impossible not to notice.
@stefanwolf1178 Жыл бұрын
Hey Danny, great to see that you are actually riding it. Many people just buy these limited edition bikes and put them away in their garage, as an investment. I bought #1097 and I am also riding it. Truth is, it’s the best looking fairing since the new Road Glide. Maybe all the old ones people thought they looked ugly back in the 70’s and threw them in the back of the garage or even in the trash and now that they’re $2,500 US, maybe they’ll go down.
