I have to admit I like the humans as heroes trope. I'm so sick of looking at people as disgusting because we aren't meant to be that way. I'm convinced we are meant to overcome our worst tendencies.. then spread amongst the stars Karening every society we meet. They THOUGHT they had intergalactic civilisation. Wait till they get a load of OSHA, basic inalienable rights and dignity for all whether telepathic reptile Queen or the slave drones that serve her. In fake combat the top people going charging off into battle like Kirk. In real battle the top people mostly stay in the command centers because they just might end up being shot by their own side otherwise. Such accidents have occurred but abandoning your station in time of battle isn't deemed an accident.

You ever read the Legacy of Aldenata books? Basically a story about Aliens sucking so they have to come to Earth to hire us to fight their wars for them. And then we do. Cause we're awesome. One guy even brings his 12g "street sweeper" shotgun to another planet with him, just to let the Aliens know what's up. One upping Hicks with his pump shotgun.

These are ALL amazing, it's a shame they're not full on lengthy stories/series....most don't have an official ending such as the one titled "Everyone coward in fear... except the humans" this was the first one I listened to...and was desperately frustrated almost to tears when it just ended, this deserved to be a full series ending appropriately. such imagination and writing talent...👏👏

The battles of this story are illogical, even non sequitur. Like so many of these stories, it is cut shortas if episodic - episodes that do not materialise. Are these stories written by AI? AI narration lacks empathy, intonation, and emotion. I accept that using human narration is time consuming and expensiveto produce, but it is far superior. For all its weaknesses, it has shown me the appeal of audio books and I thank you for that.

This has Awesome concept & writing skill, but the author needs a Lot of crucial basic military familiarisation, and a lot more general understanding of military scifi, aliens, first contact complexities, variability of "inhabitable", space opera scale familiarisation & consideration. Transit time. Even unwritten events take TIME. From a colony world, to woeld ending mother ships, to planetary invasions by any force; to galactic threats. All indicate HUGE civilisations, and militarie's to match, even if most aren't Present. This scenario Covers a last defender, but Doesn't cover travel time, repair time, postcondition time, large civilisations w politics, civilians, beurecracies or equivalent. It doesn't even do "a week later", and regularly gets the necessary series of events out of order. 27:44 a landing force is prepared BEFORE you enter the active defence envelope of the enemy, not after. Half the orders are at the Wrong time to be effective; troops don't have time to form up, arm up, plan After Landing, unless it's a species thing, and no human commander would allow the cost in bodies to wait. As a SINGLE, partial part of the massive misunderstanding of Anything regarding tactics, preparation or the preparation responsibility of leadership.

3 minutes in, and I can't stand how poorly written this story is. The main character announces the ships are from earth. Then, promptly, say's some sleek ships popped in from unknown origin. A moment later, low and behold, it's the humans. It's almost like he never said it the first time. Golden shellback peace out.

I enjoyed the video but my enjoyment was marred by ur bot not knowing English that good. So many words mispronounce. Try another bot for this one is bad. First it has a bac accent. It is not one that is enjoyable to listen to. Try getting a real human to read these then u can have dif ppl talking in dif voices. The same voice for every caricature is just boring. Not AI written, simply read with a robo-reader. They've gotten pretty good over the past few years (accents included). The story is too cohesive to be an AI work of fiction. AI is great for writing reports based on external data, but writing a story like this is beyond the standard AI.
