Mermaid Isle ( Full Movie 2018)

In 1983, a young woman was bit by something horrific in a lake on a picturesque island. Her brother and father were both killed after she "turned" into a diseased mermaid. Her mother, Maureen Melhuish, was brought in for questioning and psychiatric evaluation as her story could not be real, or so they thought. More than 30 years later, in this horrifying and thrilling tale, four young friends decide to go to a remote island, where "trespassing" is forbidden. One of the young friends, Toby, wants to propose to his girlfriend, Amy, in a romantic setting where the memory of the proposal would last a lifetime. Their friends, Shelly and Roy, joined the trip for support. Assuming the trip was going to be sappy and romantic, they did not expect their lives to be turned upside down. Shelly falls into the lake where the young woman got bit 33 years ago, and history repeats itself. Frantic to save their friend, the group finds a little run down shack. unbeknownst to them, they run straight into Maureen. In this terrifying thriller, the group will have to stick together to survive. Will they make it or will the disease spread further than ever before?
Mermaid Isle is a micro budget film shot in 3 days for the budget of $500 and completed in only 2 months.

I had hoped the goth chick would be the one to make it off the island alive. Geez was I wrong. The scenery is breathe taking while being eerily still giving the illusion of solitude and not dangerous. I’ve had this idea for a while that mermaids do eat human flesh and I like the idea of lake merfolk, that was a nice touch. Keep it up on making better movies. You have talent.

They were put in witness protection program in Scottsdale Arizona where there are no mermaids but did , in fact, encounter a skinwalker. But that’s the worst thing. A member of the New Jersey Mafia mistakenly mistook them for fbi agents so kidnapped the whole bunch. But he forgot the family dog who tracked the family and led the police to where they were being held. This in turn traumatized the young woman so much that it induced labor. But it was so early in the pregnancy that no one, not even her knew that she was pregnant. That child was a boy who , being a premie , had a difficult first year of life. He survived, however and grew up to be the mayor of Scottsdale. He married a woman and they had a few kids , one of which followed in his dads footsteps and got involved in politics. He made a run for the US senate but wasn’t elected. He was so depressed by that and he became an alcoholic. When he was 52, he became a Christian , attended an AA program and got clean. He celebrated his 8 year sobriety anniversary with a trip to the ocean where he encountered a mermaid whom he fell deeply in love with. He dove in the ocean and drowned
