Fabulous range of skills. The engineering precision and clarity of thought are off the scale. Just so absorbing to watch. That torquey velocette would look a thing of beauty on the front of a 1930's style lightweight Morgan-esk trike, especially as you have gone to the extra effort of both exhausts on the outside and 'front' facing pushrod tubes.

Well done Mr Millyard, you have made a beautiful bike with real character. It puts to shame so many of the monstrosities here on KZbin where so many get an oldish bike set about with a hacksaw and end up with a real pig's ear.

Nicely Done I have always liked Velocette motorcycles Several of my friends in Copenhagen had both 350 and 500 cc air-cooled and also water-cooled 150-200 Velocette Silent LE in the 60's but they were quite expensive a Vernom Truxton 500 costed 16000 Dk kr 1968 😰

My apprenticeship was working at an engineering company who made pattern parts for these , i machined up oil pumps from scratch , gearshafts, made the banding for the clutch case , machined new fork legs, re conditioned cylinder heads, even made the tooling for making the fish tail exhaust and baffles. This was back the mid 1980’s. These skills are hard to find now a days

We will know of course when the world becomes back in to proper alinement as motorcycles such as this will be back in production. An rideing around all the roads, that resplendent an resounding sound like a nations heartbeat. Original bikes from any given period plus obvious improvements of the period such as this! As a sometime painter an builder of Cycles an motorcycles the way this bike looks an how well it goes together is supreme! It's got the look and the sounds. Cheers Allen very inspiring, ever thought about building an Aero engined VSCC special? I know it's not a motorbike but some get pretty close, an you could take the Mrs out an cook cakes in a super oven above the manifolds, just a daft idea. Best to you best to all.

Allen, Another admirer of your work. Chapeau! Do you have any plans to work on more old British Classics? (I have an A10) It would be wonderful to see the Millyard engineering take on setting up such a bike. Maybe some mods to solve common problems and who knows - maybe zero oil leaks! But looking forward to you next project, whatever it is. Many thanks, Chris

If Velocette had built this bike back in the day, we might be hailing it as the first Superbike. Certainly it would have spanked a Harley Sportster, which didn't exist til 1957 anyway.
