So true. People don't realize how varying the landscape is too. The 5 national parks are all in Southern Utah but then in northern Utah you've got the Uintah mountains with dense pine trees and over 100 lakes within just that area. Utah county where you can see mountains in every direction. Provo Canyon, Logan Canyon, Hobble creek canyon, Amazing ski resorts, (as to why they held the 2002 winter Olympics in Utah), and a lot more. Pretty incredible place. I definitely don't take it for granted.

First time I went through Utah I couldn’t believe how big the mountains were near Salt Lake City. Also it was spectacular to see the National arches snow covered!

Any time of the year Arches has something different to offer. In summer is the scorching heat. In tha autumn you will be amazed at countless waterfalls during rainy days. In winter, with the snow capped rocks, Arches are totally different. Thank you for sharing.🙂

If you ever visit that area don't miss Dead Horse Point State Park. Not only is it impressive in its own right, but on the road up to the Point you can get an overview of the Arches area from about 30 miles away. Take binoculars. From that vantage point you can get a real sense of the geology and geography of Arches, and you'll have a much better understanding of how the arches form.

Mickey Bitsko Look up Mudfossil University. This area is the heart of an ancient creature far larger than you can fathom. The rows holes in the ground are interstitium attachments. The arches themselves are valves in chambers of the heart. Step back and ask questions like what are the balls on top of the columns? Those are tendon enthesis attachments. The balls joined into muscle and interstitium attached to that ball. Why is there a part of the rock that looks one way and suddenly changes in the next layer? That is an abrupt transition where a tendon connected or met up with another tissue. The tendon is super tough. Hard to erode. Usually last thing to be left, as you see. It would only be crazy if this was not perfectly logical. You are walking around on a fossil so large you are a bacteria in comparison.

Just took my homeboy to see this place. Well done video, the music backdrop kinda captures how some areas of this place make you feel. Funny, it was cold and windy af when we were there March 17 2023, so bitter it stings. We we didn’t know our way around and only saw Sand Dune Arch, which is lovely but didn’t have the reward/payoff for such discomfort. We left back to Moab to get some food and gasoline, and only chanced to come back bcz I knew there was more majestic sights and practically begged my homie to gimmie 30 moar minutes to show him some cooler sights. We took a wrong turn and ended up at I believe Double Arch. Totally stayed for another 3 hours walking hiking
