The Everglades in the south of Florida, USA, are usually viewed as a wetland, but they are rather a 60 miles wide slow river of fresh water flowing through wetlands and forests into Florida Bay. The park encompasses the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States, with one of the world’s most diverse ecosystems.
The video covers most areas of the park: Shark Valley, Gulf Coast in the northwest with Boat trip from Everglades City to the Ten Thousand Islands archipelago, Anhinga Trail, Flamingo area in the southwest including Back Country Boat Tour, and views of the wetlands from an airboat.

This is the BEST video I have seen of the glades and waterways. One of my two favorite places to take a canoe and camp. You really can see the back country with a canoe and camping gear. One good area is the 100 mile canoe trail. Parts of the Everglades ( the Lilly pads and pine woods ) reminds me of my other favorite place ,The Okefenokee Swamp. Been to both numerous times camping and canoeing and always go back.

A fascinating place to see and dare say watching where you go with all the alligators around every where you went. Love seeing the birds fishing etc. A wonderful eco system and hope it stays that way for many years for all to see. Thanks Milosh for sharing!

I see you filmed this in April. I know in the summer the mosquitos can eat you alive so I'm glad you were there in April. I am a big hiker and I like to go there during the cooler, drier months. The last time I was there I did a long hike but the sun started to go down and no matter how much bug spray I used, the mosquitos were getting pretty bad. I just kept moving towards my car and they were manageable but I would not want to be out there at night! I want to explore more parts of the park but it is not that close to where I live. I'm in St. Lucie County, FL and Everglades National Park is in Miami Dade County. It is a bit of a drive but sometimes I drive down there for a day trip. I am retired now and have the lifetime senior pass so getting in isn't an issue but the park is so big it's hard to see much in a day! Maybe in the future I'll do some car camping or other arrangement so I can be there longer and see more of the park! Great job with the video especially with the wildlife.
