Milt Buckner was an innovator in the music world and he was haled as a king in Europe. He wrote a lot of music that made Lionel Hampton a star. Enjoy what you can learn about this man. His daughter lives in CA and her name is Carole. Defiance has a lot of treasures and I enjoy learning about all of them. Regards Bob Lawson.

The man seriously is a force of nature. It is difficult to describe. The sessions with him and Jo Jones are just beyond awe inspiring , really really a treasure!

My uncle lived in Defiance, Ohio, We'd visit from Columbus, but I can't remember the city much. Very cool Milt is from there. I play guitar and organ in totally opposite styles from one another. I swore I'd never approach the organ academically like I did guitar. In the end I can adlib like a mother on organ! I have several organs and know hundreds of model numbers, but for the life of me I can't figure out what Milt is playing here! Do you have any knowledge what this is he's playing? It's almost keying like a Baldwin Orga-sonic because you can hear the dynamic mushy attack, unless that's just his glissando skill.
