I live almost on the QLD border and sadly not been successful with miltoniopsis. I’ve just found your channel and it’s nice to see an Aussie grower, all the best on KZbin.

I got my first hybrid from a local orchid show last year and repotted after the flowers were finished. It took almost six months for it to make new roots. The new fan grew sideways and the bulb is starting to develop now. I read that a fertilizer higher in potash is recommended when the bulb is growing to help promote flowering.

@@Joe-nj3bb I found that my Miltoniopsis also took a while to get going once I brought them home. It seems like they're pumped full of fertilizer and often not kept in ideal potting medium while they're at the nurseries etc, so they can take a while to recover. Once they're happy though, they seem to do really well! I've also heard that potash in fertilizer is good for orchids but haven't used it myself. Let me know how you go with it! ☺️
