I've been looking at thw ryobi nailer which look good too but I did not expect the milwaukees to shoot so much faster. Almost no wind up time at all. Impressive.

Thanks for this. About to buy the 23 and 18. Seem like top tier choices for cordless. IMO the bump fire test may not have been driving bc of how quick you’re pulling the tool back. It possibly doesn’t have a solid backing to fully drive or you were moving too fast. Just a thought. Anyone who’s drivin into oak like that has had one be proud if you weren’t putting enough pressure behind the tool. Thanks again for the review

Do these leak nitrogen even whey they are not being used? Thinking if someone has one for home use and rarely gets used.

Great review! I’ve been on the fence about whether to buy a cordless nailer or with a compressor for my small shop. I did a quick check and found it’s cheaper to actually buy the tool only from HD, and get the battery and charger from Amazon. For the same $400, you can get two Milwaukee batteries and the charger in that price. Or get an upgraded battery. I was worried that tool + battery was going to be pushing $550-600, looks like you can find a deal under $350 too if you do tool from HD and just the same replacement battery and charger. (No bag though, which I don’t use anyway.)

The 16g is the same size machine as the 15g, whats the weight difference between the 18g and 15g please. Im looking at buying the 16g but if its heavy I might opt for the 18g.

Without a battery or nails the 15GA is 6.6 lbs with the 18 at 5.6. Milwaukee just released a 12V 18 that's prob lighter and just as functional, although I haven't tried it yet.

For the 15 gauge nailer, does the tool turns off itself when you leave it unattended?
@toolrev23 күн бұрын
Yeah, I forget how long, but it stays on for more than 20 minutes.

@@toolrev Thanks. When you pressed in the tip to shoot and leave it there for a certain amount of time, does it timeout and won't let you shoot anymore? I used a few different brands and it gives you a few seconds to shoot..if you know what I mean.
@toolrev22 күн бұрын
You can leave it depressed for more than a few seconds without it timing out.

Does Milwaukee have like a protective piece for the tip of the framing nailer,I think it is called non marring rubber,the 18 gauge slim stapler has it,I am not sure what exactly the name is,so that the nailer's tip will not be eating into the surface of the wood being worked on.
@toolrev Жыл бұрын
All I can tell you is you get the three tips seen in the video. Framing nailers usually come with the round rubber tips but I haven’t seen those for these guns.

No. They do not. Dewalt has one already.

What’s your opinion on if you had to have one for general purpose home renovations…but still had to be able to do trim
@toolrev Жыл бұрын
Maybe a 16 gauge but I use 4 guns for remodeling: a framing nailer for studs, 15ga finish nailer (door jams, interior/exterior trim) 18ga brad nailer (interior trim) 23ga pin nailer for small trim. I plan to review the Ryobi nailers next.
@donlanteigne8629 Жыл бұрын
@@toolrev I'm also looking for one gauge to work for all my finishing needs and am wondering why a 16 or 18 gauge wouldn't be preferable for small trim. I would think it would just be a matter of adjusting the nail depth, would it not?
@danthechippie443910 ай бұрын
@toolrev does the same battery fit all 4 guns?

I don't use air period dude, I love those Milwaukee guns just a good product. I have the 23 pin to the 15 gauge and missed the 16 gauge.

I know I am late to respond. My only complain to these nailers is that they are not self serviceable. I know they use nitrogen compressed air, but I take a nailer that I can pressurize myself and none of the Milwaukee nailers have that.
