Milwaukee's 15-Gauge Finish Nailer got a big upgrade with the 2839 model. Improved visibility, design, and a new nitrogen air spring drive system are just a few things we've noticed that make the upgrade worth it. The shop's under construction, but Kenny's at his traveling desk to tell you more about the nailer that's just hit the market.

I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great kzbin.infoUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.

@Pro Tool Reviews. Thanks Kenny for the review between the old and newer Milwaukee M18 15 GA finish nailers. It's good to see the improvements Milwaukee made with the GEN 2 version. Hope you, the crew at PTR, and your families stay safe and well. Have a Happy New Year.

What type of 2 1/2 inch nails did you used. I bought a pack of dewalt 2 1/2 nails, and it didn't fit into the magazine. Does anyone know why?

Is it optimal to use a nailer gun when installing windows for new construction? Hammers are recommend but a nailer gun would be 2x faster

@@sirmize1230 Thank you, want something for trim and something that can be used for light duty construction (just around the house). I already have m18 stuff so I figured on a m18 nailer. Seems like I should really have at least 2 types but at $300 for just one im woundering if there is a happy medium.

@@captnkurt83 you can build stairs, install doors, framing, basically anything that will take a lot of abuse or needs a strong hold with the 15 gauge. My 18 gauge is used on all trim work or something I want to take off without taking a lot of time

I have a Milwaukee 2743-20 (1st Gen) nailer. I bought Meite 15 Gauge 34 Degree DA Series 1-1/4-Inch which meet the gun's specs. But the heads are too wide to go in the slot. Any suggestions? I know I could just try different nails but that is not a cheap experiment.

I really would like to buy one for building fence for my home. Can someone please tell me what gauge should I buy? I’m confused to chose the right one. 15 gauge, 16 gauge, 18 gauge etc.. I understand it get slimmer when the number increase. However, I don’t have prior experience and I need one nailer for building fence. Please tell me the right gauge number.

You could use hot dipped galv collated .113 framing nails with full round head for 21 degree framing nailer.

@charfunkianmojosapian4276

You don't need a big battery for this though, it shoots a lot of nails on a charge, the lighter weight ones make more sense I only did because that was what was fresh off the charger at the moment. But their are no obstructions to the back of the battery extends if you have a big one. It'll fit.

As big as you want, as long as it's M18, I've used mine with a 8ah high output battery, it works the same, at one point I put a 12ah,
