The bit boxes are made to go into the organizers. And your rolling box has 2 spots on the inside for bit boxes. And there is a spot on the crate for bit boxes

Had foam on hand for gun case customization, so i just used it to create rows of slits for the bits in the bit holders (minus the carrying cases). Look super clean and intentional. Secured the foam in there with strips of velcro.

Very cool idea. I prefer Milwaukee pack out boxes to the Dewalt boxes.

Great idea but, I do like the previous comment as well on using them with Velcro if you just needed one case. 👍🏼 Also the next size up box is great for batteries with the Kaizen foam inserts you can see it on “Tool Boss’s” channel another great idea for the PackOut boxes.

A lot of those are duplicates, so I just used bins/dividers and p-touched each bin to say example PH2 P2 P3, and so on, so I know what bin ha what size head and I can just grab them, it's a pain taking this in and out and putting them back in the right spot, esp in a project where you are in a hurry. But it looks nice, tnx.

You may want to use industrial Velcro to hold things into place. Hopefully a company like Milwaukee will run with your idea in the future. I personally use a label maker to ID whats in my boxes.

How can you possibly have too many toys? I’ve taken the boxes apart, sorted the bits, and used double sided tape to hold the boxes in the organizer.

@jasonlevesque93035 жыл бұрын
That's why those Milwaukee bit sets are so cheap because they don't have the sticker on them or the threaded hole on the back for the clip or magnetic attachment. I got the same set last week. I just used a sharpie marker and marked mine. But all my other ones have different stickers so basically I know what's in them all.

Great idea would be to start putting flat head long bits in some of these kits. All I get told is they are obsolete. But I'm removing obsolete equipment that have flathead srews. Those short bits are useless their hard to take out of drills & drivers.
@austinleonardy19074 жыл бұрын
Use an extension for the smaller bits when using a driver. Its nearly the same size as the extended bits you can just clip into a driver.
@monroekunz20704 жыл бұрын
@@austinleonardy1907 I can see that helping but when tightening or loosening small screws in thermostats the bit is to large and also to large for a lot of other aplications as well. Still don't see the problem they cant make the long slots. Slot screws are not completely obsolete & if they are there is still going to be a need for the tools for another 100 years.

Nut drivers in the other two bins... that’s what I did... also easy-outs for drilling and bolts..... I dint understand why Milwaukee didn’t set them up with molded bit holders from the factory..all sizes. Also same goes for wrench sets.. dewalt has packout sized cases with everything in them... but standard box.. Milwaukee is missing the boat , how many people would have bought a set of wrenches in a packout box? Lots I think..but are people who already bought packout and already have wrenches going to buy again... I wouldn’t...

Thank you for that video. I find it hard to remove a bit. Maybe my fingers aren't that strong. I have to use pliers. Any other suggestions
@2manytoyz1235 жыл бұрын
The plastic will eventually wear and loosen its grip, but a quicker method would be to try a little silicone spray on each bit.

I like the idea! How well does the adhesive hold when trying to pull out the bits? My concern would be that over time I'd end up pulling out the container that holds the bits because the adhesive will start to weaken.
@2manytoyz1235 жыл бұрын
If you clean the plastic surfaces with alcohol first, VHB tape holds really well. I’ve used it outdoors in Florida for years. It has never come off until I removed it. Takes a steady twisting motion to tear it free, and doesn’t leave a sticky mess. Lots of KZbin videos on this product.

My big question is why do you need so many of the exact same bits that you need to do this? I do construction and home remodeling and never needed that many bits. When you kill one you throw it away and buy new ones. Why do you need 20 phillips bits at a time?
@2manytoyz1234 жыл бұрын
I work in the aerospace industry. I do a fair amount of field work, but I can usually drive near where the work is required. Consequently, my toolboxes can stay in my vehicle, or onto the tailgate of my truck. Most recently, I’ve been modifying MRAPs for astronaut rescue. I don’t have a requirement to pack light and haul my tools into a residence or business. I usually haul way more tools and parts than needed for a specific job, but I’ve often found the task order changes frequently, and I try to stay one step ahead. If I had to carry my boxes, I’d definitely thin out the duplicates and less frequently used tools.

They're so obsessed with their name splattered on everything that they forgot about making the lids clear so you can see what's inside.
@pasqualeparente97762 жыл бұрын
Maybe people with 3D printers should print clear lids and bottoms so they see inside. Then split the box clear top on one Milwaukee bottom and clear bottom on one Milwaukee box. Less waste. Also put feet on Milwaukee red part and stick to packout and use the packout for screws.
