Hey John! I'm 28 and live in the US, I've decided to quit my desk job and go into the trades (electrician) as I felt unfulfilled in my day to day. I recently built a chicken coop and have found happiness in building things. Love your channel and your reviews as they helped me make a decision to make the change to better my life.

Great review. As a plumber here in Virginia I've really enjoyed my new bag, although it is very easy to overload it due to all the space

The flat zipper pocket on the outside is the exact size to fit 4 sizes of autocuts and a roll of Teflon or electrical tape. Perfect for a plumber. I have 2 totes, one set up for hand tools/trim and one that’s my sweat tote with all my stuff for soldering copper.

Great review and insight. Each person has their preferences and needs. It's cool to see what other ppl do and to grab a couple tips here and there. Been using this bag for about a month [Hvac]. Working well so far. Need many different tools so still in process of customizing but am set on keeping it simple and light. The line between what you 'want' to carry, what you 'should' carry and what you will actually 'need' is always a challenge.

Nice video. I would like to recommend the Toughbuilt Tote. Not sure if it is available where you are, but it is on an entirely different level from the Milwaukee. And if you can afford it, check out the Veto Pro Pac. Very pricey. The Toughbuilt and Veto Pro Pac are the type that you will hand down to your grand kids.

Great video John i have started to use the Milwaukee drawers and have found them so much better then the boxes as you don't have to take the boxes off to get your stuff plus clean up is quicker.

Hey John, subscriber and fellow sparky from Australia here love the channel, it has a good vibe and you have a great attitude. Just yesterday I was doing some research into options to rehash my set up a bit and look at a new bag, mainly cause I can’t help myself and just have to play around with my tools, so this video was good timing. You’re spot on about the PPE and I hate rooting around looking for stuff as well. I was thinking In the front zip up pocket you could keep a pair of gloves.

I use the small zipper pockets for things like pin nails, batteries for the laser level and extra pencil lead for my pica pencil. I find that the side with all the pockets almost has too many pockets, to the point you definitely couldn't use them all or they'd be overloaded. other than that, love this bag!

Apprentice spark here, who has slightly fallen in love with Milwaukee and the Packout system - Apologies if this has been asked... How strong is it to lift a stack of boxes? In other words, if I were to click (for example) a tray of fixings and two power tool cases on the bottom and then pick the whole lot up (assuming, for argument's sake, that it's not too tall and that I can actually lift the weight), would that strain the bag? Feels wrong to be lifting that much weight on the bottom of a tool bag, but I would expect Milwaukee to have thought of that?

Could that central zipper compartment be used to tuck 11" x 17" / ANSI B drawings, folded in half? Not sure if it's full depth or not.

I seen folks put a pair of gloves set in the front zipper pocket just in there flat (and they have a bunch of lose nitrile gloves shoved in the bottom of that same pocket) and I do that in a similar bag I have.

Thanks for a good assessment! I think the zip pockets are useful for documents such as certificatation forms etc - they are big enough for A4. Have you tried clipping the organisers on the tote back and then carrying the whole lot with the shoulder strap? Is this too much weight on one side of your body to be comfortable?
@JohnMcGrathManInShed Жыл бұрын
Its too cumbersome with the organizers, doesn't really work

Quick question, why do you not like the cart for stairs? I used it on plenty of stairs and although it wasn't as easy as an elevator I thought to myself when I got up like "🤔damn, I already got all this stuff up here when it would have taken me multiple trips up and down the stairs to bring all this up." I mean how else would you get everything up anyways?

Looks well built and good quality, but personally I stay away from open top tote bags. You do have to watch out for the prices that some companies like to charge - very easy to get caught.

i hate those shaoolw pockets. as you say 'worse than useless'. if you put anything in there it will stick out and you cant close the pocket or get the drills out. my electrical tools are in a ck technitions bag. good bag but all the screwdrivers take up too much room and you cant close the sides peoperly. definetly looking at a better solution. probably end up with a veto bag or a dewalt toughstyem box like my other tools (if im going to suffer i may as well have a box that easily stacks with the rest)
