Nice setup there! Cleanest and most compact socket storage I've seen for the packout. I made some heavy duty dividers for mine out of 1/8" aluminum and think it worked out well. For compact wrench storage i really like the DIY coiled wire wrench racks.

Fantastic solution. This is the first real option I’ve seen for sockets without costing a ton. I’m going to play with an idea this gives me for the extensions. A socket rail on a small piece of angle aluminum might work.
@JMSAudioSTL2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m thinking on finding something that I can put between the rails I have now that the extensions can clip onto or magnetic to

I'm looking at doing the same thing. I have the olsa brand trays, same thing. In dewalt drawers. Bought them before Milwaukee came out with drawers. I was bummed to see the trays wouldn't fit. Thinking about switching because Milwaukee has floor mounts and better options. Going to attached the floor mounts to a garden cart, for off roading around the farm.

Great idea screwing them in, seems pretty harmless. I don’t think id sacrifice a drawer by cutting it up though, I would just cut the socket rail shorter. I was really contemplating on buying the Packout ratchet set because I hate how things just float around in the drawers. Thanks for this

So I’m thinking of doing similar but mounting my rails the other way (front to back) and screwing them down. As I could fit way more rails that way. How well has yours held up?
@JMSAudioSTL Жыл бұрын
It’s holding up really well. It just sits in back of the truck and I just pull it out. If I need to roll it in. It’s easy also

Very nice system. Looking to get something similar myself. Do you have enough height in the 3 drawer box to fit deep well sockets? I see you have some in there, but I'm not sure how close those are to hitting the bottom of the middle drawer.
@JMSAudioSTL2 жыл бұрын
Hey if do deep well sockets the top edge of each drawer will need to be trimmed to fit. I deep are the sockets? I could measure mine
