It is a very good book for beginners as well as for those that are already into kzbin.infoUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt A very good basic ebook to keep as a reference too. I like it and the way the subject matter is presented. It has humor and that helps with the reading.

I am a homeowner with a day job who does not do anything construction related for a living. That being said I am working on framing out my basement and Bought this kzbin.infoUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt gun. I have done a few walls already, have probably shot a couple hundred nails through this thing and have yet to have a misfire. It works awesome, good depth on every nail if you have your compressor set right. My literal only complaint is that it is a bit heavy and my arm can get a little tired especially whrn I am nailing at odd angles. That being said I am super happy with it and would buy it again. Hoping the old girl allows me to get my whole basement finished out!

Keep in mind, the selection of the caulk speed dial is completely dependent on how soon the lunch truck is arriving to the job-site.

When I was re-caullking my windows I bought a cheap Royobi caulk gun and when I consider what I paid for it it was one of my best investments! I'm sure the Milwaukee gun is vastly better but the idea of a smooth consistent pressure from any powered gun makes life infinitely easier.

No doubt that Quad sealant is some rough caulking to squeeze out. That made it look simple. The only thing I would think about that is you would definitely not want some cold or hard caulking or it would blow out the back. Another great video Kyle.

@RR Buildings. Thanks for the video Kyle. Like you said, while not a tool you can always justify, when you need it, it is really handy. Carpal tunnel is no fun. I notice that few tool makers who make these cordless caulk guns don't put a seal puncture tool or a tip cutter. While I prefer to cut my caulk tips with a utility knife, now I have to have to carry another tool just to puncture the seal. Hope you and your family stay safe and well.

But still wince, when I see u guys using the gun at such a weird angle, as well as the cut on your nozzle! Been using silicone since 1990,with a Cox cage gun 🔫 and everything since. Hello Kyle, Got one of those a couple of years ago and they are handy. Watch out for cold weather though below forty degrees the tube can be 'blown out' making a huge mess. The gun has power enough to blow them when they get stiff. The other thing was that with PL adhesive and other construction adhesive the gun bleeds after you shut it off and backed off the plunger. Always a large puddle of adhesive where they gun was set down. Still great for applying adhesive. Take care. Doug

You forgot one other reason to buy this tool - I bought the M12 version - is that when you get old, but not too old to hang up your tool belt, and get arthritis in your hands, this makes caulking much less painful or even on some days, possible when otherwise I couldn't. Thanks for all the reviews that you do.

Nice Caulk gun from Milwaukee, myself i use the HK40 from the brand swallow. The HK40 is a semi-open, very stable hand gun with reinforced mechanical/hydraulic transmission for 310 ml cartridges. Equipped with automatic release in the handle. Adjustable handle. The most popular caulk gun among professional gaulkers

We've had the Makita Caulk gun for a couple years now and it works great standing on a ladder or platform and just pulling a trigger and getting a nearly finished quality bead from the get go cant be beaten especially when clients will be looking at it in a bathroom once a day. Being able to extend my reach a little more without moving a ladder is awesome. Makita's gun also allows you to just retract the piston bar and pull a tube out without unscrewing the tube housing, might be worth looking into next time you are fishing for a new/second gun. The few downsides is the weight after a big day (more or less depending on battery size) and their speed adjusting solution is an embedded ring which is above the bar and is a little fiddly at times and Milwaukee's knob seems to be smarter but both need you to take your spare hand off the gun to adjust it anyway so a bit of personal preference would apply. My local hardware doesn't stock a huge range of Milwaukee gear but I believe when I looked at it the Makita was about $40 - $60 cheaper.

Kyle, we’re on our third Milwaukee gun now. Use them primarily for laying urethane on windshields. They’re great for a consistent bead but can be spazy when you have to slow down for a corner. That said when we wear out the one we’re using we’ll buy another Milwaukee.

We just got the 18v sausage version. Just getting started with it but looks to be a big convience to us. The small 1.5 amp/hr battery seems to have a long run time and keeps the weight bearable. Now to figure out to minimize the mess changing the sausage. The insulator that bragged about it to us warned of blowing out the back end of the tube. The problem becomes pulling the plunger back and loading the caulk into the gearbox.

That Milwaukee will drive you nuts when using in the lower half of the speed range. It auto retracts then takes forever to take up the slack on the next activation of the trigger. I went with a Ryobi for $50 less than the red gun alone and got a caulk gun, skil saw and two 4ah batteries with charger.

I have the M12 version and the only thing I wish was that it didn't withdraw so far, to release pressure, because on the slower settings it can take a sec to get back to dispensing the caulking and throw you off. It's super nice for those thick sealants and adhesives. Like you said, you have to have a use for it.

I have the M12 version (definitely don’t need 18v) Works amazing!!!! Just have to make sure you cut a big enough hole onto the plastic tubes (quad max, duralink35) if you just use the little hole that comes already cut it backfires and makes a mess of the plunger. Otherwise it’s awesome.

The 12 volt version is just as capable with just as much torque and significantly lighter weight. I was in the glass business for over 25 years and ran on average 15 tubes of hi-viscosity urethane a day and found I only had to change batteries once a week(maybe). Very good product

Dane Austin I promise, you won’t be disappointed. The battery life is insane. And the M12 batteries charge way faster. A tip though..., if your running anything thinner than Vulkem or something super hi-viscosity, turn the speed control down to about half or less until you get used to it. Believe it or not it will blow out the side of a tube. Ask me how I know, LOL!!

I have used both. The M12 with a 4.0 or 6.0 battery is the better choice. It is lighter and ergonomically it is a better choice. The way the M18 battery attaches is comber some and it binds with your wrist. I have used many different brands and styles of battery power caulking guns (automotive windshield replacement) and the M12 is superior in both price and application.
