I bought the compact drill kit. I had two bad kits in a row. The first the battery didn’t want to lock into the charger well and showed a bad battery. I returned it and got another doing exactly the same thing. Except the second the charger makes a weird hissing noise which is apparently normal and the trigger worse broke loose out of the box.

If it’s not Fuel, I’m not buying it. My only exceptions are for tools without a Fuel version. M18 Heat Gun M18 Tire Inflator M12 soldering iron To name a few…

It’s only 0.07 inch difference on the impact so a 1/16 shorter. Don’t see the point spend the extra $10. Love Milwaukee but that was pointless

Looks like a good alternative to the m12 fuel line. Get to keep the 18v batteries and thinner grip on em, and get a little more power. Hard to compare size specs but these may be more compact too.

I was considering selling my gen 3 fuel for the surge because that thing snaps screw heads way too easily. It looks like this one would be a better choice. Clint do you know if it’s replacing the current brushless non fuel models?

Make sure you get the one with settings, because the single speed is kind of a pain to control with just the trigger.

Looks like direct competition to the dewalt atomic series. Also appears to be in direct competition to the M12V line. Just a slightly bigger & beefier design. Interesting (new) lineup..

Im a De-wakke kind of guy and I’m not impressed with the new guns from Milwaukee. Ryobi not Ryobi and rigid are coming out with a lot of new tools. Milwaukee needs to get on board. People need to be excited for their new tools. I’m looking for a 2nd generation of nail guns from Milwaukee my self

The Milwaukee rock music is overused. It needs variety. A promo video with dubstep would be awesome. Milwaukee should discontinue all their brushed cordless tools except for the grease gun, caulk gun, and tire inflator. Have an M12 brushless subcompact drill and impact driver, Make high demand tools Fuel only, gen 2 M18 Fuel and M12 Fuel hacksaws, MX Fuel 30 or 32 inch mower, MX Fuel pressure washer, M18 Fuel dual battery table saw, M18 Fuel dual battery pressure washer, an M18 Fuel 10-inch beam saw, M18 Fuel Random orbital sander, M18 fuel planer, MX Fuel welder, M18 Fuel concrete nailer, coil nail magazine, MX Fuel force logic jaws of life, M12 Fuel T-50 stapler, M12 Fuel Pin nailer, M18 Fuel dual battery snowblower, MX Fuel snowblower, and an MX Fuel dual battery riding mower.

I did a lot of work with my brushed m12 impact, it did the job and the amount I paid in the kit made it about 50 bucks with a battery and charger. That rivals Walmarts crap that you’re lucky to finish the job with it still working.

The M12's have a larger handle grip, which makes them somewhat awkward to handle due to fatigue due to the thickness and limited to precision handling. I mostly use my Makita 12v first, until I need some pounding power I go to Makita. I am going to assume that this are Supped up M12 with smaller handles on the 18v platform.

People here don't understand that Milwaukee makes a living from selling powertools. Yes you can buy an Gen3 right now for the same money but Milwaukee don't makes the same profit . This things will be dold with the old battery in combo kits. They will be like 2/3 or half the price later than the Gen4 that will mostly just be dold with HO batterys.

Bros, stop buying every new tool that launches. You just encourage these companies to add more confusing and unnecessary variations to their lineup. M4. M12. M12 Fuel. M18. M18 Compact. M18 Fuel. I’ll say that getting back into power tools has been a multi week investment to just understand all the variations. It’s exhausting.
