Milwaukee recently came out with a new Milwaukee M18 FUEL Attachment System w/ QUIK-LOK that delivers multiple outdoor power equipment tools in one system.
This system is powered by their M18 batteries, and a “Power Head” that’s compatible for a number of different attachments, including:
• String trimmer
• Edger
• Pole saw
• Hedge trimmer
This system gives any you the versatility to add tools to complete a range of landscape applications without having to invest in multiple dedicated tools.
This results in a lower cost of ownership. While the QUIK-LOK system is clearly designed for landscaping pros, it can benefit anyone already using the M18 battery platform.
Additionally, this system should appeal to others as well, such as:
• Newer homeowners looking to reduce initial dedicated tool costs
• Pros working in environments that have time restrictions on noise
• Pros working in environments that require restrictions on gas fumes emissions. [e.g. hospital environments, or near ventilation systems.]
• Anyone wanting to avoid the “Fuel, Prime, Pull, Start” process of using a gas powered tool.
The QUIK-LOK Attachment System
Users can enter the QUIK-LOK system through the M18 FUEL String Trimmer Kit or M18 FUEL Pole Saw Kit, then add additional attachments as needed.
Power Head
The QUIK-LOK is anchored by the power head, which ships with a 9.0 Ah battery.
The first thing you will notice when using any attachment on the power head is that the throttle and tool react instantly - there is no lag-time or ramp-up period.
The power head accepts all M18 batteries, and according to Milwaukee, the only accessory designed to be used with the “low speed” setting is the string trimmer.
The power head attaches to the accessory attachments via a positive-locking mechanism. Once connected, the accessory operates off the power head’s motor via connected drive shafts.
The power head trigger offers variable speeds.

As these batteries get bigger and much more expensive, it’s really nice to see tool companies trying hard to keep you in their brand by making their lines so big.

I'll confirm what Rob said, I have these tools and they work great! Pricey, yes, but worth it. I was traumatized as a child because my father always bought cheap tools and made me use them so I learned the hard way the true cost of cheap tools.

I bought this kit last month. I have about 2 acres with a bunch of honeysuckle to get rid of, and a fence overgrown with blackberry. The pole saw and hedge trimmer are making quick work of it. The hedge trimmer in particular is a beast. The only issue I've run into so far is the one mentioned in the video: the attachments don't always want to lock and you need to either wiggle them or blip the motor to get them to alight properly.

That's the kit I'm looking to purchase. I can purchase the pole saw with battery and charger and get the hedge trimmer for free AND free shipping. Can't beat that deal for $400 Benjamin's. I don't need the string trimmer since my 4 year old gas string trimmer works just fine. I'm sold.

I just got the string trimmer and so far very impressed with it! I used to do a lot of string trimming around my parents farm and I'd say this thing has as much power as any of the gas ones I've used and you don't have take 15 minutes to get it to run right. I had the same issue with the qiuk Lok aligning but it's pretty minor. Overall quite happy with it.

Got the pole saw and blower combo. It doesn't come with the pole extension or the strap, may need to buy later. Use the pole saw first time yesterday and got a bunch of work done, much better then the manual pole saws in every way except it feels freaking heavy after a while. With the extension its even more so. Don't think it was mentioned, I had trouble separating the two sections. It was held in so tight when finally got loose, a little dielectric grease did the trick. Yes I did loosened the knob first. Would not go back to 2 cycle tools ever again. For yard work settled on Milwaukee and Kobalt 80V. Waiting for them to come out with a post-hole digger.

I use my hedge trimmer for all kinds of brush cleanup. I also use it for spring cleanup. I get right down to the ground on all the dead growth and then it just blows or rakes away. Super easy and super fast. I'm looking at that articulating head on the hedge trimmer and thinking I could use it for trimming weeds in the lake. It probably won't last all that long, but the dedicated weed trimmer I have now (which I now have to spend more time repairing than trimming) was several times the cost of just having to buy a new accessory head. Hmmm.

I got my pole saw. But it did not come with the extension or the harness. I've got the saw. Trimmer. And edger. I've been cutting down smaller trees with the saw as well as wild bushes. I need to get the harness. But now milwalkie has added a power broom both nylon and a rubber version as well as a brush cutting head with a metal blade. Ive yet to see these in big box stores but Tool Nut has them its an online tool company. I think the broom is 23" wide. Think what you can do with this sweep the drive sweep the basment or shop, or even on a construction job clean up a job seight with it. Im wating for a cultivator attachment you just know its comming. Or even a power brush to wash your driveway with hose attachment you can also use on the wood deck. There is a good use for the broom as a scrub brush cleaning mold off a wood deck. Or hey how about a pole 6" orbital sander or even wall sanding attachment for painting with vacume hookup. No they havnt reached the max of add on tools they could make for the power head. Car buffer ? Seriously its a power head just add attachments. The broom looked kinda pricy but think about what you can use it for.
