I am a joiner by trade and I do use Milwaukee tools for my job so when Milwaukee brought out this tool I was interested in the long pole hedge cutter as I have a very large hedge and I hired petrol hedge cutter so just over a year ago I got the long reach hedge cutter and with the 12 amp battery l hit it hard and it doesn’t cut out and boy does it cut thick bits as well but you have to use the strap that came with it and you do feel you had a word out but you can put a smaller battery on it which the the wife uses so l give it a big thumbs up 👍 thanks for your video 👏👏

Yes, that pole hedge trimmer attachment is worthwhile & performs well, though I use the AEG version (all these tools are made by Techtronic Industries, China) on their 58V drive, although can be used on their 18V drive too but 9Ah is the maximum in AEG 18V range (got to keep the higher capacity in Milwaukee), but the 58V AEG gear is another step up though, being their "Commercial Outdoor" range with 8Ah 58V batteries.

I would like to see that pole saw head rotate a bit. I've a cheap electric pole saw, and the adjustable angled head actually helps with long reach cuts which are assisted with weight of the tool.

Nice video 👍 I've been running this for over a year now. The hedge trimmer and pole saw are awesome but the strimmer is a bit of a let down - cuts out and overheats the battery/motor alot on anything that's not light duty. It's worth keeping the petrol tools in the van for heavy duty stuff and rainy weather. I use this 60% of the time to save on fuel and keep the noise down a bit. Cheers John 👍
@druslocallawncare1092 жыл бұрын
Do you use it commercially. What is the run time like on say 6.0ah battery
@johnloran2 жыл бұрын
@@druslocallawncare109 I do but only on light stuff like privet or leylandi - i wouldn't use it for reducing height or anything where its cutting thick branches too much as the quality isn't up to the likes of my 2stroke echo or shindaiwa multitools. The 12ah batteries last about 2 hours hedge trimming on slow speed and I don't even use it on high because it's burns through really fast. I usually face the front of hedges with it then use petrol tools on the tops.
@druslocallawncare1092 жыл бұрын
@@johnloran thanks for the info im just thinking of going battery for all maintained hedges. And thinking of using the whipper snipper ( strimmer). For all my maintained lawns
@johnloran2 жыл бұрын
@@druslocallawncare109 no worries, I wouldn't bother with the strimmer because it overheats after about 5 mins even on low speed. It's super handy to pick up for very small light stuff but it's just not up to the job for most things. I use it to strim small weeds between the cracks of paving slabs or block paving mostly 👍

tillykke med sejren Claus That’s a nice system. The one thing I’d like to see is the bar on the polesaw being adjustable, 90degrees to the pole. Thus allowing you to cut from the top of the branches.

The same pole hedge trimmer, pole saw & edger (from TTI that make Milwaukee) are also made for AEG to use on their 58V & 18V drive units, however the connection isn't as refined as the Milwaukee system, using the same connection as the Ryobi Expand-It system (though with a slightly more robust design). AEG (Echo 58V & Rigid 18V in the USA) are still a great product line to use, both in 18V & 58V (for commercial outdoor equipment) & so I have mostly AEG in both platforms plus Ryobi gear that isn't covered by AEG. Both are sold through Bunnings here in Australia while Milwaukee are sold through independent (& chain) tool specialists.
