good stuff, nice to see somone trying this thing on stuff i work on. the shop air compressor where i work sucks so i was gonna chew in the owners ear about getting a couple of these for the fleet. if you want more accurate measurements try using a digital tire gauge, i use the slide gauges just for a quick check.

this is one of my favorite tools to keep on my service van in those bad days with a flat tire i would recommend picking up a adapter chuck for it i got a 2 pack of them for 6$ its just a quick lock chuck that i believe will work with your gators

Rich Tyson, I have a question for you. I am trying to accomplish the same thing. But I am curious how long have you had the M18? Also, how many times have you used it for this job?

110 steer 105 rear is what I always run, have you tried using it on inner driver where the valve is on inside?

That’s what I’m wondering. Probably not. You would have to get your fingers in there and screw it on

If the tire says 120 cold that’s what you should be doing
@XecuTionNxx

Most 16 ply stuff for the 13200lbs steer axles on most trucks over the last couple years are 120/130psi cold minimum for 13200lbs. 110 would be under inflated. Would be fine for a 12k steer tho.

I've tried but it's too much of a pain in the butt to get to. I wish Milwaukee would add a reverse chuck inflator for this unit.

What about the trailer tires where the Tire stem requires a reversed connection to engage in
@ReviewsStraightUp
@ReviewsStraightUp Күн бұрын
@@jonplay3602 that's an excellent question. I ended up cutting the old inflater off and added a dual air chuck to it. Works really well. Too bad I can't add pictures in replies otherwise I'd show you the set up. I might do a short follow up video demonstrating it.

I was thinking about this for off-road use, but 10 minutes for 10 psi? My Smittybilt (5.65cfm) goes from 17 to 35 in 2 minutes. I liked the option of not hooking up to my battery, but that is too long.
@ReviewsStraightUp

Yes, definitely but please understand that I was going from 120 psi to 130. That is tremendous pressure. I have since used this inflator on my wife's car and it's crazy fast from flat to 35 psi in virtually no time.

Probably when inflated with the rim and tire off the 125 psi would be 130 without weight

First, thanks for the Milwaukee test, I need it, but no matter what you are doing, all your semi tires should be inflated in between 100 to 110 psi! No more than that! I equalize all tires at 105 and get very good results and very long tire life! You are over inflated and a blowout tire on steering it’s really dangerous!

Wrong car haulers have special tires on steers that holds more weight and are also specd just like these and has higher psi levels. Also the more heavy you haul and the hotter it is outside the more pressure you need closer to spec. Having lower psi in the summer is an "old wives tale" i buy alot of continental and michellin 16 ply tires and never run into any issues hauling heavy . Do more research

Are you new to driving trucks? Where are you getting 130 psi from? That’s a lil high.
@ReviewsStraightUp
@ReviewsStraightUp Жыл бұрын
No, not new with over 20+ years of experience. Not uncommon at all to run steers at PSI noted on the sidewall (in my case 120) plus 10 PSI = 130. Don't just take my word for it however. Industry experts and veterans such as Mike Beckett from MD alignment, Kevin Rutherford, Joel Morrow, etc. will all let you know the same thing. I run high $$ Michelin's and always get max results doing it this way. Check it out and thanks for your comment.

For those of you that don’t understand why he is putting 10 psi over. The reason is tire, life, plain, and simple.

You should all also know that testing has showed that higher pressure will not cause a blowout even am 115° weather higher pressure will have less pressure than low pressure again it’s been tested
@Dexter_Solid
@Dexter_Solid 15 күн бұрын
this will reduce tire life, the pressure adjusts the contact pattern for the weight the truck is rated for. increasing pressure narrows the contact pattern more to the centre of the tire, lower pressure moves it to the edges, the truck maker determined the optimal pressure for a nice square contact pattern for the weight of the engine and load will be listed on the door jamb of the cab. for steer tires on a tractor its usually 120 but for a KW T880, or a 579 Pete they come with bigger steer tires that need 130... higher pressure will however give better fuel economy due to less rolling resistance. as for the blow comment, the heat generated by under inflated tires is significantly more than whatever the ambient temperature is. But im a former aircraft maintenance engineer, turned truck tech for the last 20 years, so i dont know anything. 😂

130 your insane more like 110 max bro
@ReviewsStraightUp
@ReviewsStraightUp 3 ай бұрын
@@lifeitsgreat no, not insane at all. This tire is actually stamped at 120 cold and pending on application 10 over is absolutely fine. My front axle is rated 13,200 lbs and I'm often right there. So the 130 is absolutely perfect. I checked with Michelin and many experts agree with that as well. This from a tire manufacturer: Every tire's sidewall identifies a maximum cold inflation pressure, but that's not necessarily the correct pressure to use for your vehicle. Vehicle manufacturers predetermine the best tire inflation pressure for each vehicle, so you should follow the manufacturer's recommendation.

I've got a Few Milwaukee M18 tools & this is one of the Best i like the Memory bank set up for our cars Tires its set at 38 psi but its also Great to Air up 🏀 Basketballs or other things in pretty fast manner as for the Tires it took about 2 minutes & since our car has Tire Sensors i looked to them as well as the display on the pump to see if the they we're at 38 & After disconnecting the pump the Sensors Read all the Same.. 38 psi As for a Tire Gauge for your Truck Look at MILTON Gauge they make the Best & are still built in the USA 🇺🇸 with US parts.. I bought mine at Rose Motor 🌹 in Hutchinson Kansas Give Em a Call tell em Allen sent ya.. They're a Family Owned Business of 60 years or More started by They're Grandpa Rose.. They're Business is Autoparts but they Sell a whole lot More if your in the Area of Hutchinson stop by They're shop Allot Truck Drivers buy from them as I've seen there Tractors parked near there Store.. I'm thinking Milton Gauges are also a Family Owned Business.. Great Video.. Allen D
