I know this is super old but as a new sewist......I just wanted to say thank you. These are the basics explained in a lovely, well-lit, modern way that are soooooo necessary and helpful. It's very interesting to me how complicated even a "simple" pattern can be for the un-initiated! I've written legal briefs that seem way more simple. No joke. But I really appreciate these little tips and techniques....might be fun for you to do it again?? Haha. Just an idea.

Wow thank you so much for that distinction between finished measurements vs printed pattern measurements! I’ve been watching a bunch of videos from various people, and this is the first time I have recalled hearing that, and I’m wanting my clothing to be more tailored, so that’s definitely critical!

im still confused with the pattern size. so if i have 35 1/2" hips, on the outside paper it says that 36" hip is size 12. but on the pattern tissue paper itself it says that size 6 has 36 1/2" hip. which size do i cut then for my measurement? size 12 or size 6?
