In 127 he got lines that were LITERALLY 3secs and in WayV it got bumped up to 10-17 maybe even 23 max and it’s not really consistent, one day he’ll get lines one day he might not but tbh WayV just feels incomplete. I’ll never get tired of repeating how New Jeans, LeSserafim and ILLIT are all the victims here of a battle that was never theirs to fight, everyone failed them and failed to protect them. Not only MHJ, not only Hybe, not only Source Music, but the public as well. When you have minors being exploited, harassed and manipulated right in front of your eyes it should be in everyone’s interest to protect them and point the finger at the culprits, this should’ve been a conversation about artists exploitation and responsibility the companies hold, but instead the public was ready to step on the victims and feast on their remains to make it convenient for themselves. This has shown a rotten side of kpop that everyone knew has always been there and ignored it until it eventually exploded and this rotten side includes also the “fans”. EVERYONE failed those girls, everyone is taking part in their exploitation. It’s always “protect the artists and their mental health” AFTER tragic things happens…things that happens because everyone makes it happen. I only hope that once the truth comes out and the conversation goes back to where it actually needs to be focused on, the artists will be able to see peace again and will come out of these dark place. I was still learning about K-pop back then so maybe I’m mistaken, but it felt like SM would purposely schedule a comeback whenever Siwon got an acting job. If I recall correctly, JYP did initially try to promote them in Korea, but received massive backlash because they were literally all elementary-middle schoolers. I myself was pretty upset about kids going through all that and how much he sexualized them and their fanbase did. There were some really gross comments on their debut MV. The sad part is that public perception is hard to twist completely, it definitely will go back under control in the future and people will see the truth, but this dark situation will always be there to stain the names of the groups involved and no one is gonna be able to take back the psychological impact these days are surely having on those girls. I’ll never get tired of repeating how New Jeans, LeSserafim and ILLIT are all the victims here of a battle that was never theirs to fight, everyone failed them and failed to protect them. Gotta admit after listening to all the anti-MHJ stuff, this is a nice pick-me-up. Hybe can spin it all they want, but bullying an employee on sketchy legalistic grounds sure makes it look like they're less confident about taking Castle Min than they were before. This whole monies received/NDA "embezzlement" charge seems pretty shaky too unless Hybe is claiming they're the ones owed the money so it was "stolen" from them. It was kind of stupid too pulling this before the shareholders meeting. It looked like they had pretty smooth sailing to kick her out at the shareholders meeting. Now they're on defense and if they kick her out in the middle of a legal action against Hybe, it looks they're trying to tilt the field since nothing has been proven yet and MHJ is fulfilling her contractual duties from what I know.
