Yes, I know that when they come back as a full group it will be big but people still need to know that public streaming of the masses who don't know them is a great contributor to a song's success like what happened with Dynamite, people don't know them but streams their song because it was popular. BTS never said they would enlist on their own. They will do whatever the government wants them to do. When it comes to commercials BTS has been representing different companies for a long time. They are paid for that by the companies just like our sports figures represent Nike, sports drinks, etc. Why do you feel it's wrong for BTS but OK for other countries. They made all those videos during COVID playing to empty stadiums with a purple light in each seat representing their fans. Everyone felt so alone and scared and BTS tried to reassure everyone that they will be together again. I don't know why you would say something bad about one single thing because other than trying to help people through a crisis the other things are done by any star who can sell merchandise here and we buy it going back to the 1970's when we were putting Olympic athletes on Wheaties.

Though BTS has been like the most important group for HYBE, I dont think that the enlistment will cause them to degrade. The popularity of TXT, Seventeen and Enhypen alone can build up HYBE. And not to mention, NewJeans' insane rookie popularity that is even competing against IVE, the biggest rookie GG nowadays. Lesserafim is also there and has not to be understated. Overall, though the income/stocks might go down because of BTS military service, HYBE has built a massive company that it will stay afloat no matter what (unless of course, if BTS disbands and their groups lose popularity which is highly UNPROBABLE)

I feel like people forget that BTS has become more than just their music. From BT21 to their endless brand deals, BTS + Hybe will continue to gain revenue throughout this hiatus. While BTS makes a whole lot more for Hybe and are at a higher level of fame (rightfully earned), Hybe is also secured with great groups who are all growing a good amount of fans day by day. Especially NewJeans being a HUGE sensation. Not to mention, you got SVT, TXT, Enhypen, Le Sserafim, fromis_9, solo artists, and more upcoming groups. Sure. None of those groups are at the level of fame BTS has. I don’t think any group will have the kind of fame BTS has. However, those groups should keep Hybe stable until and after BTS comes back. It's not like Hybe will plummet down to being poor because they still have great groups under them (and whether you're a fan of those groups or not, you still have to respect those groups in their own right). Lol 4th gen era is gaining popularity as well, so I’m sure 4th gen Hybe groups will grow further and gain a lot of attention.

However I do agree that BTS has made a great label and impact for themselves, I think HYPE will be perfectly fine since they have so many other groups doing good. I don’t think HYPE will even be close to going bankrupt especially since it will be easy for them to get income as a company. Many other groups are probably gonna get sales too, so I don’t think HYPE should worry at all. And however I do know that BTS might get their military years off, do they deserve it? Now I’m not saying they don’t but however I do think they should serve at least a year since every other groups that live their had too. I know they’re really popular but I don’t think popularity should define someone’s definition/fate, as mentioned before the government has even gotten into the case of BTS!

This is honestly so sad. Everytime media, HYBE, and the SK government talk about BTS they only talk about the money. Most people seems forget that BTS are human, even some of the Army only think about themselves (only talk about how they gonna miss the boys and hope BTS will comeback to work as soon as possible). For those people , BTS just a money machine or an object. I actually cried when Jin said in Youngji's channel about how he actually feel lonely. I’m proud of BTS for choosing to enlist. On their own and not waiting for exemption. To me it shows that they’re grown men and want to serve out their responsibilities as Korean citizens I do wish that some of that money went to BTS and not just the Korean economy as we know idol contracts are pretty brutal. And even if HYBE knew that they would eventually enlist by planning ahead and buying into other companies and groups to keep there company growing without them is a smart move. I saw some comments and I just want to say Even if BTS brought most of the revenue in Hybe, they made Hybe MASSIVELY rich. But you forget that Hybe has the TWO biggest _active_ boygroups in the industry. The company might not be as rich as it was before in those two/3 years BTS isn't there, but they won't go bankrupt anytime soon with groups like SEVENTEEN who're still going to be active (at least) until about 2025, when S.Coups and Jeonghan will have to enlist Not to mention, their 4th gen game is strong and all of their artists are incredibly successful. TXT, Enhypen, Le Sserafim, NewJeans- even fromis_9 isn't doing too poorly as far as I know? None of these groups make small numbers, other companies would be considered really wealthy with this many groups that have this amount of income 🙃

I think the problem with hybe is that they are not focusing on debuting other groups successfully (not taking away to their other groups success) but they are just buying other companies, making it their own. This was posted 3 days ago and jin's live was yesterday which helped a bit to understand the things that happened. Jin said he was planning to enlist right after they released proof so like when they announced their "semi hiatus". Like those news was supposed to be "bts jin will go and enlist" but they had some discussions abt the expo and they wanted to have a last concert there, even though the concert free thing was smth....else... Everything they did were for us, armys, not the gov. Even though BTS have contributed to S. Korea's economy they shouldn't be exempted from military enlistment unless the Government abolished the mandatory military enlistment for all S.Korean men. If they did or didn't enlist it will still be a never ending debate whether they should or should not. So it's better to do military service for their own good except if they have mental or physical condition to be exempted. My question is; Other idols also enlist in military so why must they not do their duty? BTS may greatly bring change in the country's economy but can we count who is really benefiting from person to person? I used to be really into BTS in the early years then a few years I just kinda stopped listening to them and kpop as a whole, I was so confused when BigHit turned into to HYBE. It was so weird to se Seventeen on their channel and so many others. They definitely planned this so way back because we all knew them enlisting was going to happen. I think, we don't have a long break from BTS' contents. The longest break might be less then 1 year. I believe even after Jin goes to military, we will still get new BTS contents from other members until around end of 2023 then the last member to join the military will join around end of 2023 or the latest is early 2024 where the earliest Jin might be out of military is around mid to end of 2024 and from then the members start finishing their military service one by one until all will be out by mid or end 2025. So really, the gap is only few months (less then 1 year) I believe. And who knows between that gap, Hype has something stored for us and release it in the middle of the gap. 💜

The only issue I have with the Manditory Enlistment, for anyone with ANY level of fame, is the HARASSMENT that they have to endure. Mental as well as sexual harassment is well known and PREVALENT. Hybe has been planning for bts enlistment. They have been diversifying the company. Seventeen, txt and enhypen all have solid fanbase. They are all millions dollars sellers and more. They all sold out their tours. They also have le sserfirm, new jeans and Fromis9. Plus soloist, actress and actors in the company. They will be debuting 3 to 4 groups next year.

Honestly, I feel like BTS enlisting will be good for the industry. I'm Army and I want them to do well, but I also recognize how much they're favored by the industry. I feel like it's super frustrating for other groups to be on music shows and award shows alongside BTS. This break will give other idols a chance to shine.

Nobody has favoured them, what they got and are enjoying is their hard work and sheer determination to succeed for the greater good of all and the so called country that is toying with them. Why must other groups feel intimidated..if you do well, your success will shine like a star ahead of you..period. I wish them the best in the military, it won't be easy..but the Korean government better make sure it's easy for them. The whole world is watching and armies are watching

It's not the number of soldiers it's the thought of one day both sides of Korea being in war. Yes they already sent many men to train in the military but this is a move that gives the government and the population a certainty that all of their people can defend their own and live throughout a deadly war. They're Korean that's that an exception shouldn't be made. May I remind y’all that the South Korean government has given MANY exceptions before (BTS would not be the first to get one) and as a fan I support BTS’ bravery to enlist on their own accounts. I’m just so sick of hearing about this topic because it’s clear what should be done and it’s not gonna happen- BTS getting an exception shouldn’t be this controversial of a thing… people have gotten exceptions before for winning gold medals at the Olympics or important awards in things like music (and even though those are great accomplishments) none of them compare to the impact that BTS has had on the country. It’s just my opinion and being bullied like this is not right
