JD talking about the power of the people put a smile on my face b/c it also relates so much to his situation. Imagine if we kept quiet and let Hollywood continue to run their narrative and ruin this man’s life? Like Smith, JD stood up and made a stand against the upper echelon, and I’m so proud of him for that.

I have watched 👀 all Johnny Depp's movies 🎬 i owned all of them till 2022 when flooding took the lot i like Johnny lost every and i know how he felt with AH devastated 💔 he taught me how to stand up to the truth. I have supported Johnny via Dior and Savage because Dior stood by Johnny i joined his fans in justice ⚖️ for John Christopher Depp better known as Johnny Depp. I know that every time i watch Minamata he gets royalty points and a few dollars 💸 💵 💲 its not much but after Australian Rupert Murdoch's gutter rags like The Sun owned by him I supported Johnny all the way hes a beautiful Southern Gentleman with beautiful heart and soul ❤️ 💙 ♥️

When I was a middle school student, my teacher showed us ,"Tomoko and Mother in the Bath". I felt it was dark and sad. I was just shocked by that photograph. Unfortunately I didn't know it was Eugene Smith's work. About 40 years later I watched "Tomoko and Mother in the Bath" again, before I watched The movie,"MINAMATA". I felt it was shocking, sad ,but beautiful at the same time. I can feel love between the mother and her daughter. Without strong trust and understanding between Eugene and Tomoko's mother, it would be impossible to take such an impressive photograph. The movie,"MINAMATA" is telling me why Eugene could take that photograph. I'm so glad to watch this movie.

I am in no position to judge this film. My review holds no value. This film is ART. A difficult watch but the filmmaking was breathtaking! Photographer Eugene Smith, I have never heard of him but... My god! Doing God's work! I had no idea that photos could speak so loudly!!!! The phrase, "A picture is worth a thousand words" tonight I understood this. My heart goes to Japan 🇯🇵 "Tomoko in Her Bath" is Absolute genius!!!! I am inspired by this film. And that's the greatest compliment.

Johnny was unrecognizable with his beard & empathy with the twisted humans of Japanese mercury poisoning ! I was lucky enough to experience all of Eugene’s photos stored in Arizona via a virtual tour world war 11 & Minamata ! Johnny showed the empathy with all the people adults or children & parents ! I never cried so much watching this movie & JD’s approach to holding & singing lullabies to their people ! He was able to teach a child with twisted hands to use a camera ! He convinced me he was Eugene smith ✅it was a terrific role for him to play ! I have recommended this movie to everyone I know & watched it a second time with my husband to share

The media had a different kind of power than it does now. Life magazines were the word, the truth. The photos spoke to everyone. Facts mattered. Now how can you tell what’s real and why should you care. Seems it’s all egos and the loudest, sleaziest win. Wonderful film.

Listening to Johnny Depp give an impression of the movie immediately brought to mind the Buck Owen's and/or Ringo Starr's song 'Act Naturally.' The movie is a congruent fit to the life he's currently living. On another level, I recall this story with extreme clarity in my Grade 9 Social Science class. I remember the pictures from the magazines, and how our small, tiny, young world was venturing 8nto something, not many had ventured into and one of the reasons I held Life magazine to such a high a standard was the article they done on Dr. Christian Bernhaard and his successful procedure of the world's first heart transplant, all in bright, living color.

We just watch this movie last night. Wow! Every single actor was fantastic. We felt we were there and it was amazing experience. This is a story of corruption with major corporations that still exists today. The one line in the script that Johnny Depp recited was to the Life executive and it was something like this. "You haven't had a story this great since the fake moon landing." Also, Gene Smith is portrayed as a person that did not kiss the ass of the elites in business, but was most gracious to the ordinary person. So many people just do not stand up to the lies. Now is the best time to bring this out and hopefully more movies are made to rally people to stand up against the powerful and question the information sold to all of us. Remember news is a business.
