i wish they realized though that the village shunning naruto is necessary despite his past for his heroism to show he rose above it despite may flaws it made him relatable to foes and us fans and made his dream more of an accomplishment then just a goal but rather something if he gets to means he won them over on his own merits changing the world's view which needed to happen in their world overall on everything when it came to other villages and he learned how to work hard endure pain emotionally which makes his resolve stronger in tense situations and want to seek attention and act bratty which is a key to his core character as well...this shunning led to his pain because its worse being alone when your hated/ignored so not just being an orphan but also shunned which led to him festering pain and hate and needing his hokage dream rivalry with sasuke to move him forward which is key to the narrative and his lonely nature to lead us to the first episode where iruka saved his path with words due to not blaming naruto which others like hiruzen sorta did for the attack and deaths like many villagers for sure did which makes iruka the hero of the story for a small change of heart speech and also he always tried to be nice to naruto just extra harsh on him so hes not a pos...and this stuff of the village hating naruto connects with the mistrust of the uchihas the village felt for unjustified reasons just cause a sharingan was used to control it which leads to madara being shunned and thus angry at his own kind wanting them to be mistrusted to lead to their extermination so they could not get in his way and to push home the point about mistrust which is why naruto's past is so vague early on to not spoil it so they can build off it later in many ways ad tie it together...plus this is why naruto has to face his inner self at the waterfall because he too still has doubt and anger at the village who caused kakashi's dad death and rin's because the system is broken and the people hate the military cause they fight for resources and stuff...its brutal but the whole story makes sense..as minato says not having a home to call your own is the worst ask the rain trio of nagato yahiko and konan which on top of the child military deaths proves how messed up this system is...but as mianto says we are all shinobi so we have to care aka like all the main leaf ninja do...and it makes hinata's affection of him even more impactful because of how hes viewed on average...but their generation seemed more accepting of him ...theres so many layers to why these characters act the way they do....naruto is a masterpiece

The most loved emotional episode for me and i am glad even Pat felt that it even made him cry. Even after years when i see this episode it makes me tear up again. A lot of things in Shippuden seems Dragon Ball inspired to be honest. It's quite different from the original Naruto when it was more about hand to hand combats with other chakra based ninjutsu attacks thrown in with hand signs. No susanoo, no shinra tensei/chibaku tensei level existed in original Naruto. Still love the story but power scaling wise, Shippuden almost seems like a different universe from original Naruto.

@@Slm99 It's funny because the reason why they're liked is because they had limited screening. Kishi would ruin them with his writing if they had the spotlight too. Every character in naruto gets out of character when the story needs a boost. But with sakura, he himself even acknowledged how BAD his writing is. Fans aren't interested in the art of a story, just the visuals and powers but people that appreciate art always put the blame on the author, not a single character. Kishi really sht the bed with his main character.
