My favourite is how in the Skypea arc Montblanc Noland casually stated that in his voyages he met the tiniest people on the planet, only for this information to be completely forgotten by 99.9% of people (we were focused on the Shandians). Then, hundreds of chapters later, we pop up at Dressrosa, where there lives a tribe of extremely tiny fellas, the tiniest we have ever seen. And would you look at that? They venerate Montblanc Noland as their hero. Like, WHAT?!

Oda even confirmed this in a later SBS from a observant fan who had written to him who picked up on the detail.

In chapter 234 the 1st appearance of Whitebeard u can see Doflamingo's pirate flag on Whitebeard's medicine showing he supplied the medicine. And it wasn't revealed until hundreds of chapters later that Doffy was an underworld supplier

The Robin Luffy Dynamic is that Robin is Luffy's fill in mom, she sees how her kid is understanding the world around them and tries to relate new information back to them in those terms so they best understand it, it'd especially make sense that she'd be the one to do this for an unaccompanied minor such as she technically found Luffy and the rest of the strawhats, since she herself spent most of her life that way, and only briefly met her own mother, who she had always wanted to have a life with prior to having to flee from Ohara.

Some details i remember: Germa was referenced before entering reverse mountain Kaku did not even dare use tekkai to take a slash from zoro in their whole fight, even when taunted, which may indicate the zoro couldve been proficien with haki at this point After usopp bartered forsome dials, we see zoro hold his sword above an already cut rock, which shows he may have been proficient with haki at this point. This also supports the earlier statement of kaku not using tekkai against zoro despite his taunting Usopps love for the merry was hinted as early as loguetown, when he chose to run faster after hearing the merry was in danger. Zoro was the only one who could damage pacifestas pre timeskip Zoro always finishes his opponents with 1‐3 attacks Sanji probably unintentionally developed observation haki before anyone which only worked on women. Locating vivi in rainbase and alubarna while a battle was happening, locating nami at the ark maxim, locating robin at water7, locating nami in thriller bark, saving tashigi at punk hazard, and spotting hiyori among other women in wano.

i'd like to disagree with zoro always finishing his attacks with 1-3 attacks , there always had been a pattern in battles of the monster trio , luffy is the one to not take the most damage himself but he has the longest fights which requires more stamina , sanji wins his battle the most easily among the monster trio , he mid diffs every opponent and his only major injury is after his battle with queen . zoro on the other hand has the most intense and brutal fight , he wins with extreme difficulty after taking heavy damages on himself

@@giornogiovanna3274 no one says zoro doesnt have difficulty defeating foes. But looking at past battles, zoro rarely gets to land a damaging blow and its usually enough. For example, mr1 was only successfully injured once and zoro won that way. Ohm was defeated with a single pound phoenix attack that landed. Kaku was defeated by 1 successful ashura, hacchin probably 2 attacks, pica with 2 attacks, mr5 with 1 slash, ryuma with 1 slash, monet with 1 slash. Zoro wins by just landing a winning blow.

Two details I love are the forshadowing surrounding Sabo and Sanji. As for Sabo: - in the famous panel of the two sake cups, you can see a wage shadow on the far left, implying the existence of a 3rd one - this one is speculative, but during the scenes where Buggy tries to execute Luffy in Loguetown, there is a character in the crowd that looks suspiceously similar to Sabos modern day appearance, rocking blond hair and his trademark black hat and coat. It may be a coincidence, but given Odas attention to detail, the fact he appears twice and Dragons presence, it's odd to say the least - Ace has a tatoo of his name with a crossed out S. What appears to be a misspelling of his name could in fact be a tribute to Sabo, as the S is very similar to the jolly roger Sabo used when he went to sea. And there is a what if drawing Oda did showing the 3 brothers being alive as adults, where the crossed out S in Aces tatoo is missing - when they showed the graves of Whitebeard and Ace, Aces has 3 sake cups before it. The only 3 people knowing about the sake bond are the 3 brothers, Ace is dead, Luffy never visited his grave, which leaves only, you guessed it, Sabo I mainly like this one because it counterweights people who bash on Sabo for being a cut out Ace replacement and an afterthought because Oda chickend out after killing Ace. Wherever you like Sabo and what he represents is a different story, but the concept of a 3rd brother has existed long before Aces demise. As for Sanji: - during the Alabasta arc, he takes on the code name of Mr.Prince - during the Jaiya arc, he mentions that he is from the North Blue, which leaves Nami wondering how he made it to East Blue - his wanted poster after Dressrosa spots an "only alive" instead of the usual "dead or alive" Also remember when people wondered what Sanjis other eyelid looked like? When spoke to Mr.Crocodile, the Den Drn Mushi reveals that both of his eye lids are curlre the same way.

There was a small hint on Sabo being alive, when Dragon returned to his crew, I can't remember properly, but there was something in what he said, I guess, that has kinda given a glimpse of Sabo being saved. I would argue that Luffy is still the first Strawhat to use haki. It's confirmed that his haki can pick up on emotions. Who's to say that he didn't first use haki when he knew Nami was masking her emotions in Arlong Park. Also when Vivi was masking her emotions which led them to fight briefly. On both occasions Luffy knew that what was being said did not match what was being felt.

I remember hearing that Oda was saving the eyepatch, and used the peg-leg and hook for specific characters. But now I just realized the extra detail that Crocodile is a reference both Captain Hook and the crocodile that ate him. As for the tanuki teapot, I'd like to think someone found the fruit and wanted to make a tea out of it, not realizing it was a devil fruit. They chopped it up and put it in the pot, turning it into a tanuki.

I was rereading Dressrosa the other day, and noticed that one of Doflamingo's henchmen actually mentions that the smiles have a 10% success rate. While lying to the Tontottas that the smiles are actually medicine for princess Mancherry he says that "less than a tenth of every harvest can actually be used". That kinda blew my mind when I read it.

About that Minatomo guy, I've also spotted him in the Logue Town Arc (Ep. 51). After Carmen leaves Sanji, he's the guy that asks if Sanji's going to participate in the cooking competition. Another place I saw him was in the Drum Island Arc (Ep. 81); after Kureha leaves Cocoaweed, Minamoto is seen repairing the doors of the bar(?) after the Wapol scene.

Been really great revisiting the series and learning about what I had missed. This show has recently become one of my favorite shows of all time. I have 2 that i love. The first one being that the island that The revolutionary army saves was featured in one of the portraits of the manga, Ace saved the girl on that island. The second one, still speaking about Ace is that he actually said one time that he learned the recipe they were eating in a land called Wano. This was really early on the manga too if i remember correctly. So we knew thag Ace was once in Wano.

Zoro wasn't the first Strawhat to show anykind haki, that was Luffy. In Little garden when he hit Mr.3 who was hiding among his wax sculptures, he asks how did Luffy find him and he answers "instict". Luffy might have been telling the truth and it was just his instict, but it could have been hint towards Observation haki. Also it is the next arc, Skypia, where we learn more about this power.

Oh yeah i totally forgot about that it could've been really the first glimps of observation haki. But i remember mr3 talking that's why i think it was more of a hearing thing combined with instinct. Zoro actually had a glimps of observation haki as well in the fight against mr1 where he could tell under which rock his wado ichi monji was.

In (I believe) Chapter 989 when all the Straw Hats regroup at Onigashima, Zoro is seen with his swords on his left side, which he normally keeps on his right. I heard someone point out (and later looked up myself) that in samurai etiquette, holding one's sword to the right is a symbol of peace, the sword is not ready for attack (as samurai typically draw from their left side with their right hand). Having the sword on the left, however, means that the samurai is ready to attack, so it could be taken that Zoro was going to take things more seriously (or was simply following etiquette). Funnily enough, when Zoro attacks Scratchman Apoo a few chapters later, he puts his swords back at his right side.

When Usopp forgot Robin in Dressrosa, he also lost his character development from Enies Lobby and was more cowardly again. But like in Arlong Park and Alabasta he got his courage back in the last moment to fight for his friends. Also Raizo dont have a devil fruit.

Uniform has that symbol on the right shoulder and guy also says that the guy who made the swords left wano so maybe zoro's teacher is the legendary blacksmith from wano just a theory tho
