🌺 we love how you give everyone props at the restaurant. Wanted to comment again because since my Mom and I found your channel we’ve been fans, my Mo is gonna be 90 with severe Dementia so days can be crazy with her when her mood swings, but she will watch your channel and your adventures and totally enjoys herself with my Mom I know mood and smile. She’s engaged in the food and watching you both trying something. She will talk of the food and we got to talk about my trip to Italy, eating and drinking my way thru it. Mahalo for making my Mom happy and especially for the Kaneohe park location when you ate windward side, where she’s from. It made me cry for her to say that’s (park) where your dad and I met and he said we are getting married, she said, I’m gonna finish playing Softball! 🌺

So onolicious as always! Grew up near 2 Italian delis. Mortadella is kind of upscale bologna with white circles (fat?). Galantina is upscale bologna with pistachios, so green circles. Both are delish and pretty.

That’s an awesome restaurant 😍 the meat on the flatbread is pronounced mor-ta -della. I’m Italian and I love the Japanese/Italian fusion it sounds so good. The presentation of the food is fantastic

You know pomodoro is Italian for tomato, yes? Perhaps a plum variety. Looked tasty in any case! Pistou is the French variant of pesto, but without the pine nuts. That too looked lovely! I can see where son needs to take me next time I come to visit -- thanks for the heads up.

Aloha Amanda & Felix, can't believe that a week ago at this time I was there in Waikiki! The food looked interesting at this restaurant, I would like to try grilled tako one day, never tried it before. The risotto looked good too and those desserts were heaven. Mahalo for showing this restaurant and I hope the next time I visit Hawaii I'll be able to try out more of the restaurants you both have shown on your videos (at least I got to try Royal Lobster and that was super ono!!!). BTW: got a kick out of the look on Felix's face when he was trying to serve Amanda the burrata and prosciutto 😊

You need to sample their Porcini Carbonara served at lunch - blows standard carbonara out of the kitchen... also Mio Pastalogy's (Vein's sister restaurant)Yuba Ginger Cream Linguine (Natto Carbonara also is no slouch)...

Yes, I agree with you Felix. I don't know what it is with American bologna. For me it always has this metallic/salty aftertaste. If I can get a hold of any European style made, German or Italian...so many far, far better than what we get.
