Wow. 🥇This is not only a classic pattern in the world of textiles, but one of my favorites and you just elevated the classic in wood. Here's to you. 🍷 Hope you don't mind, but I started line dancing to the music.

I usually check out of 'how to' videos with long intros pretty quickly, but this one kept me laughing all the way. I think the intro was more creative than the houndstooth board. Thanks for your efforts, I really enjoy the many works that you do!

I tried your finishing process on a couple of end grain boards and it is superior to dipping in oil. So pleased to learn this. Thank you.

Wow. This is different, and awesome. I can’t imagine a Tennessee fan wanting to make anything houndstooth. 😂 Living in Birmingham, I may attempt this to sell. I’m a UGA grad myself, so I’ll have to grin and bear it. Thanks for sharing and I’m glad I found your channel!

So on Amazon right now there are wall mounted panel clamps that act as calls and your clamps. Best investment ever, especially for this kind of stuff. And for the price of a woodpecker square you can make an entire wall sized panel clamp.

I hate putting 10-15 hours of work into a gorgeous cutting board to give to someone as a gift just for them to not bother using it. Cutting boards, especially endgrain ones, are MEANT to be used for cutting. An endgrain board has a self-healing design that makes it harder to build, but much more resistant to getting marked up over the years.

@kevinradous18113 жыл бұрын
Great video Billy and thank you for putting this together; I am looking to fabricate one myself and am wondering if you recall the dimensions of the glued up strips (3:28) - looks like 1 1/2 " square in by maybe 18" long?
@kevinradous18113 жыл бұрын
@@NewtonMakes Awesome - thanks! I'll shoot you a picture when I'm done!
@GrapplingIgnorance2 жыл бұрын
It's very frustrating that the dimension wasn't included, and I can't seem to find it on plans anywhere. I've made several of these now, but largely had to figure it out for myself. I reasoned that if the striped pieces are cut down to 7/8 square, they must be 1.5" from corner to corner diagonally. 1 1/2 divided by 4 = 3/8. So the strips are 3/8 thick and 1.5" wide. Length is variable depending on what size board you're making.
