This is one of the first videos of yours that I've watched in years and I'm glad to see your smile again talking about books. I think I'll really check out these recommendations 🙂 Weirdly, this video reminded me of watching my mom who I haven't been able to see for 2 years since I've been living in Korea for the time being. I've been in sort of a rough spot these days, and never realized how much I've been missing passionate, bright people in my life. I believe that's why people are so drawn to you. Thanks for everything you do.

i can't help but scroll through the comments on your uploads and i hope your support system has been there for you. i'm bamboozled by the nosy haters. so girl thank you for these videos. you can tell how much effort you put into them and how much you like making them too. i've been reading essays by robert adams, particularly his collection called the beauty of photography. it's helped me let go of some judgements around why i photograph. a love of what i see can be enough reason to take photos.

I always love your book recommendations. From this one, I’ll be Getting Life 3.0 and Stay True for sure. I wanna thank you for your point of view on friendships, last year I was feeling lost in this area, I thought I lost my first best friend and thanks to you, I learned how to get her back in a more mature and understanding way 💖

I loved your reflections about social media influencers and woman in general, it was very spot on. I think about this quite a lot and it's really sad. I'm someone that has kind of fought against a lot of the societal expectations for women, but I have found myself sometimes not feeling "enough" the more I get lost in social media or in the dating world. I didn't used to care much or focus on these things and I am trying to get back to that place, not basing my self worth on how I'm physically perceived or valued by people/men.~

Thanks for the last book recommendation! I have seen how parents “lose themselves” and there will always be a push/pull to things (there won’t ever be a perfect balance) but I think Asian parents tend to idolize their kids aka their whole world is centered around their children; this is a great perspective and healthier approach!
