✪ GAME SUMMARY
Baldur's Gate 3 is a 2023 role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. The game is the third main installment in the Baldur's Gate series, based on the tabletop role-playing system of Dungeons & Dragons. Baldur's Gate 3 has single-player and cooperative multiplayer elements. Players can create one or more characters and form a party along with a number of pre-generated characters to explore the game's story.
Unlike previous games in the Baldur's Gate series, Baldur's Gate 3 has turn-based combat, similar to Larian's earlier games Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin II; all combat is based on the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition rules

it is a very rare combination for someone new to this, to pick tactician difficulty, dark urge and male drow barbarian. or to even bother with playing the companion introductions. I think this will be an awesome playthrough.

The narrator was actually a character in Divinity Original Sin 2 and everyone loved her voice, that's probably why she got the most important part in BG3. She's incredibly good, and a D&D player herself.

she's got such a great voice holy moly like having her talk to us this whole time is going to be so good. Remember how immersed I got with Geralt talking to himself in W3 I feel like this game may take it to another level of immersion. I don't recognize any of the voices so far from other games besides the one I picked for our character but seriously the line up feel so start studded. Also I've a feeling this game will make me wanna try Larians other games like Divinity. I actually got them all on GoG I got a really great deal a year back for the whole series even the really old ones.

@@Bowskii You might recognize Astarion as Kamsky from Detroit Become Human! The guy who invented androids. The actors from this game are a lot of fun. Many of them have actually started streaming their own playthroughs of BG3! They also played real D&D for like 4 hours with an experienced DM, that video is a lot of fun as well! And Larian is like the best game development company out there. wait wow!!! I hear it now that's so cool I didn't realize but goodness he sure did a good job with his voice in this game just from the little bit we heard and then in future EPs but wow. Pretty amazing how much D & D brings out the best and bring us all together its literally such a great game from so long back and we all still love it to this day. It's the best way to get the sword in tactician imo. I've found it very difficult to actually kill him for it above balanced difficulty.

THIS IS GONNA BE THE BEST BLIND LET'S PLAY OF BALDUR'S GATE 3 EVER MADE !! (For anyone in the future who is looking for a LP to watch 😉). Finally, I can make a premiere!! Your character looks epic, I knew you would put some effort into that! Playstation Plus had a 2 hour trial, and I spent almost 40 minutes on the character creation part, 😂. But I didn't even come close to a cool looking character as this. Looking forward to every episode of this LP!

There's actually an achievement for killing the big devil at the helm, but it's really tough to do on tactician. Good thinking with the command though! That sword is one of the strongest early game weapons.

darn it!! I wish I would have gotten that one. It seems like such a hard fight and I just straight up rolled out lmao. Glad we got his sword at least holy moly if we didn't get that I bet that mind flayer would have died so quick and he probably would have destroyed us al. Fun combat so far and def gonna be challenging.

oh and few tips': - equip those crossbows or bows you find on everyone immediately. (strength based character can even equip heavier crossbows) if you cant get to enemies for melee it's always good to have ranged attack option and it does decent damage. Even mages should have some bow/crossbow equipped, if you run out of spells/spell slots you can still do some sort of attack and not waste a turn :) - unchaining someone from the group in the left side bar like you did with Shadowheart at 1:26:06 makes them not walk after you. you can ungroup everyone from each other. it's useful if you want to move people one by one in dangerous terrain, or only explore smth with one person, or not have companions step in the wrong thing etc.. ungrouping them is basically like telling them to hold...

ahhh nice ok thank you for the tips! I feel like I will def need some at times it sure can be overwhelming since its my first CRPG but I'm so excited to do this. I will def put a crossbow in our slot so we have it just in case we need it.

I´d say, that ungrouping is most useful for setting up a fight. You can set up your party on advantageous positions, not have them all walk up to enemies in a formation begging to get nuked by aoe. Putting ranged characters or squishy casters on elevated positions if possible, even better if these positions are hard to approach. If enemies are not hostile to begin with, walking your melee beast up to their squishy caster, etc. Rarely would I walk up to a fight, with all the characters in follow mode.

I only wish they had facial sliders too, not just head presents (which is why I use mods that add more variety of presets) but that is probably my only complaint everything else is perfect and there are actually a lot of choices, and characters and graphics really look amazing! I was NOT expecting big burly barbarian drow it's probably most unique and rare combo hehe :) and can't wait to see how tactician is going :)

Lol I'm a sucker for playing rare stuff in games if I can. Back in the day I played D&D as a warrior/paladin type I'm gonna try my best to replicate our character with how I remember my first ever character created back in the 90s early 2000s. But I really liked the CC as well It wasn't overwhelming and kinda easy not many options so I can def see why adding stuff via mods will be unique as since there weren't many options. But I really love the character I created he's so cool.

oh yeah he deff looks cool just in the screenshot already, love the eyes too! and I definitely DON'T recommend using mods just yet. because Larian is still actively updating game and new patches and hotfixes are constantly dropping, if you use mods every time a new hotfix drops they get broken and you have to wait till all the mods are updated to play again, and even than smth can not work properly, so it's a damn hassle and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone 🤣 anyway this is all less important than amazing gameplay and characters that this game has :) good luck with your rolls!

Goodness I'm always so scared to use mods won't lie. I can definitely see myself modding this game up after my first playthrough probably as much as I mod Dragon Age on my off camera runs. And those eyes are so cool. I know I just made him but he's already one of my favorite characters I've created. I love dark elves in games. Meaning the dark side type of elves. And lol 🤣 dice rolls will make things dicey for sure.

Your choice of dark urge drow barbarian will make your playthrough pretty much completely different from the typical normal one 😅 I won't be following too closely yet because I'm still on my normal playthrough (150 hours, middle of Act 3), but I'll be looking forward to new episodes for sure since I plan on starting the Durge after I finish the current game!

I like how in details you are and exploring everything. That's how you can properly appreciate this very detailed game and absorbs the world. The majority of these videos don't have any spoilers in them, just tips that help making the game mechanics more accessible. But hey, looking at the comment section here you'll most likely get more tips there. Anyways, it's fun watching you so have a blast!

as someone who LOVES this game, I'm only 10 minutes into this video and I'm already so happy that he's taking his time and not rushing. While I do 'eye roll' at people who always choose the hardest level with every new game, I'm quite chuffed at this video so far ^_^ Here's hoping he won't claim it's a bad game if it proves too hard :)

Enjoy the rest of the series and yeah it's a hobby of mine to play all games on the highest difficulty. I do it for the immersion and not the challenge oddly as playing games on tougher difficulty makes us dive deep into characters we make. And no worries I don't bad mouth games or anything on camera I'm a positive person and like to keep it that way for myself and the viewers. The game was tough at first since it has a high learning curve but new EPs all fights are an absolute breeze sadly I'm hoping it gets harder.

I'm glad we got that blade heck I was feeling hitting him with some sort of CC was a great move since he was really giving it to that mind flayer but we got a bad ass blade outta the deal. Would have loved to actually kill that boss wish I didn't have to run away. Next time I play I'm gonna try better to actually get him down.

I'm really excited that you picked the Dark Urge. It's a great choice for both very evil playthroughs and good ones (but so is any option in the game). You're probably picking up on some of the narration that is unique to this origin, since it's one made by the developers it's more tailor-made than if you were to make your own (but again, the options in this game are insane anyway). I look forward to seeing where your character goes. One of the great things about BG3 is that you can actually be straight up evil (or morally grey), unlike a lot of other RPGs out there. It's a game that says "yes" as much as possible. Whenever you have a crazy idea that wouldn't work in any other game - feel free to try it anyway! You might be surprised.

the urge is going to def make our character really interesting. I feel like we have so many possibilities for RP with out character even though we did kind of pick a premade background. And lol I'm starting to already see the levels of crazy ideas and possibilities with this game. We can freaking throw bodies at people in combat lol that so crazy and id imagine we could probably do so much more things.

@@Bowskii I think you have chosen poorly for a first blind playthrough. The dark urge makes the game harder and will take away choices in certain actions given its backstory. I want to avoid spoilers but well simply by playing them you have killed characters later in the game.

I don’t feel like I missed out on anything and from watching playthroughs with the custom Tav character, the dark urge is vastly more interesting and intertwined with the story. People can play the game however they want, that’s why it is such a great game 😂

There is more I could say but I've already reached the limits of what I was willing to spoil. I don't believe it impacts anything major but there are minor characters who will die as a result of him playing it.

Any other deaths are because of player choices and it’s very clear that you’re making the choice for them to die. - oh wow, so not only barbarian Drow but also a Dark Urge???? oh yeah this will be EPIC!!! I didn't understand what Dark Urge is when I was starting the game so I didn't pick it.. watched a little bit of Urge playthrough later by some friends.. and it's really cool backstory. it adds really interesting subplot and dimension to a game I wish I chose. my second playthrough I will definitely play Urge. and in combination with a Drow, who already have challenges of their own, it fits so perfectly. the world will react to you being a drow too so that's also an extra challenge. things will get interesting for sure :) - You did so amazing in combat too, changing Shadowheart's spell into command to get that sword was spot on, most don't figure it out so fast.. I knew you'll do good on tactician! 👍 Just keep scum saving lol - The Narrator is amazing and magical Amelia Tyler and she makes the game so much batter and immersive I adore her voice. and yeah she's always narrating but you playing as Urge are having some lines I never heard with my OC. it's so interesting. you are also getting dialogue options for strength based character I never saw. Like I saw 3 different ways to open Shadowheart's pod but I didn't know you can rip it open 🤣 it will be cool to see different details in your game. - LOL I laughed so hard when Ari decided to take randomly stop and take off his purple panties in the middle of combat and lost all his actions and rage too because of it 🤣🤣🤣 enemies must've been confused too hahaha

I'm actually happy as hell the community voted for Drow because I love the way our character looks! And honestly I never usually play a bad character on my first run so trying to resist this urge we got going on is going to be so cool of a story. What ever screen it took me to def helped me out to look at the abilities I was trying to go the the inventory and was able to find the spell page. The command spell is gonna get used so much. Any and every one is gonna be dropping those weapons and lol the spell also makes them lay down on the ground it said that's so freaking cool. The narrator is doing such a good job already I cant wait to just listen to her all game. Ripping that pod open was awesome lol a barb that has no intelligence but has the brute strength. And lmao Ari getting nekked in combat and losing our rage was the highlight of the combat. Love this game so far I'm a bit addicted already I see why it won so many awards and its just the tutorial lmao.

Quite a challenge for your first playthrough -dark urge! Looks like it will be fun. I certainly enjoyed your first run & the way you play. :D I'm not that experienced a fighter, so when my game comes, I'll be running on Balanced for my multi-class & Explorer forthe single classes I want to start. I can always change them up higher later if it's too easy, but I have to learn the mechanics. I do know a bit about D&D tho', since I''ve watched Critical Role for the last few years, & have been a fan of it since it first came out - just could never find a group to play with, & college kept me rather busy. ;) I'm enjoying your character & your enjoyment of the game, so I'll be following your stream for awhile. I'd also like to see how Tactical Mode works, so more reasons to watch - lol. I didn't hear that another Baldur's Gate was out until it won awards at BAFTA & Game Awards, then my friends in Discord started talking about it. So I'm months behind all those who knew it was in development & started playing upon its release last August. But I've enjoyed watching a couple of playthroughs which I needed to do, since the game is expensive for me & I needed to know I would find getting it worth the price. It sure looks like it is. :D Most of all - have fun!!!
