Loved Minder growing up as a kid,...the streetwise characters had a warmth and likeability,....along with the , great writing, the over all feel of the show had a down to earth gritty realism to it..... comedy dramas, don't come any better than this classic from the 70s and 80s.....

Totally agree with you Chris , i loved it as well growing up, still love watching it, So sad to hear Denis Waterman passing away on Sunday, 74 is too young, what a great actor R.I.P.
@Embracing012 жыл бұрын
@@m.dairyfarmer7878 Was sad, but why oh why don't the channels never show Waterman's other TV roles like Stay Lucky with Jan Francis and On the Up?. Stay Lucky was (from what I can remember) a popular comedy/drama series and the two had lots of chemistry, but they never repeat it, well certainly not any of the freeview channels like ITV3/4, Drama, Yesterday, I've heard it's never shown on UKGold, why?. Waterman also appeared in a couple of dramas and one offs, one where he plays a soldier in I think Chicago, and another from the early 80s where he plays a footballer. Again, none of these ever get repeated. Also, George Cole was in a series in the mid 90s called An Independent Man, and also one called Roots to Europe. I can't remember ever seeing those repeated. All the channels do is repeat the same stuff over and over that they assume viewers love. Love Minder, fantastic series, but they need to give it a rest for awhile and show Waterman's and Cole's other roles.

A pity Mark Farmer never appeared in alot more episodes than he did as a more regular character instead of the odd episode. Ray Winstone as Arnie seemed to steal the part more. I wonder why the series Mark starred in with Matthew Kelly, Relative Strangers, has never been repeated?. I think it did get a repeat showing in October 1986, but that's about it. And then there's Stay Lucky with Waterman and On the Up, both were very popular series in the early 90s, but for some reason none of the channels show them.
