In this meditation we enter peacefulness by focus on our breathing. We are reminded that whenever we notice our self being distracted with other thoughts/feelings, we can actually praise (not criticize) that awareness, because it show we are noticing in the moment now. We can see the clouds of distraction passing through our mind sky...and breathe.
We then are guided to imagine a mountain inside of us, a mountain that is made up of whatever details we choose, and which changes on the surface all the time, with the seasons and climate. From calm and sunny days of flowers and pleasure to be on your mountain, to stormy and cold days, of challenges and screes...then we focus on the earth, the rocks beneath the mountain, connecting us to the earth. We feel the majority of the mountain being unchanging, resilient, enduring, brave and strong...just as we are. We focus on this resilience within ourselves to endure all the superficial changes and 'storms' in our lives, as we are constantly strong deep inside, and connected to the restoring powers of the earth.
