I have one too, i believe the grease was for remove de rattle noise inside the button. The first version doesn't have it. I removed almost all of the grease from mine except under the contact plates to avoid the rattle noise. And works like a charm. Thanks Mooch i was expecting this test long time ago

forgot to mention that when they first released the first it did not have grease but it was noisy so they put grease in it.

great maaaan :) I spoke with thc about a 18650 adapter with chip in it last summer btw. i did know they listened hehe I think the max have almost the same switch as the first one. have used mine 18 months and it still rocking.. i removed the grease and i think ot works better :) the switch also fit arcless tnx mooch

Great testing as always Mooch 👊 thanks for all you do. I'll be looking for a Tauren Max I'm not a huge series fan so I'll probably stick with the single battery configuration low voltage drop, locking mechanism for safe carrying, nice smooth switch (Clutch System) one of my favourite type of bottom fire switch similar to the Unicorn Inc Vert Mod Thanks for another great testing session Mooch 👊 can't wait for your next one

When you remove the grease, the button rattles like crazy. I use automotive light bulb grease to make it quiet.

Very nice to see the option to use the protection insert for those just getting into mechs and may feel more comfortable with it. Just my opinion but that button just seems way over engineered and I just don't see the point. Thanks Mooch
