Two years ago, I came across the MP podcasts. I thought it was going to be a bunch of "testosterone bros" talking about their beefy muscles. Boy was I wrong! After one episode, I was hooked. These guys are so endearing. What I love the most is that they focus on the individuality of the person. They know that one size does not fit all. Let's face it, the health and fitness industry is riddled with a ton of conflicting information which is seriously confusing for the average consumer. Kudos to these guys for delivering the best information and doing it in a way that makes me laugh and smile.😊

Started my recent journey in July at 265 lbs and now down to 207. Losing roughly 11lbs a month.. I changed my diet and cut out processed food, beer, sugar and only drink water and natural foods. Also daily walks amounting to roughly 10,000 steps and lifting weights 3 times a week. The weight is just melting off!

Protein is KEY for recomping the female body. It is absolutely essential. I like my oatmeal for breakfast but I make it with high protein milk and stir in greek yogurt to get my 30 grams of protein. It carries me until my next protein meal...which carries me to my next protein meal. I'm a long term lifter and I can still change my body completely in about 6 weeks. And I'm 58 years old!

I'm 58yo woman and for the first time in my life I have recompositioned my body by following the genius MP team. Pro tip: I cook up a couple pounds of grass-fed beef and sausages on Sunday; then toss it in my 3 eggs for breakfast ,along with fresh veggies. Then protein drink mid morning. Then pasta made from edamami, lots of Greek yogurt. Always meat with eggs. At the end of 4 solid months of great nutrition along with Anabolic program- I've dropped 2 sizes, tightened my body and 9 lbs. I'm no longer tripping over scale weight! My body fat is slowly and healthily dropping and muscle is rapidly increasing. I started squatting only the bar at 45 lbs and just got to 115 lbs squat. There philosophy works 100% Protein!!! Get STRONG at the GYM. get FIT at the TRACK. Lose WEIGHT at the TABLE. It's the KINDS of CALORIES you are eating and how they are metabolized. Hormonal changes play a HUGE role as well.

Couple of points... Ignore BMI....if you are putting on muscle your BMI will go up. Don't be afraid of healthy fats...you need these for healthy hormone levels. It's better to increase activity levels than decrease calories...if you splurge on Saturday night, walk it off on Sunday. Keeping your metabolism high is very important. Try creatine...it will help in a lot of ways. Drink lots of water Good luck

I'm a guy and im pretty active, winter aside, and I have a hard time getting 175 grams of protein while cutting with ~2800 calories. It required 2-3 shakes with water a day, and that gets old quick. I gave up on calorie deficits. I just cut fat by recomping nowadays because I hit the protein macros easier and still lose fat well enough. Don't plan on ever dropping below 200 again if I can help it. Consistency is too hard when you're starving yourself with food you don't want to eat.

I didn’t count macros and I’m sure I didn’t take enough protein. Regular workouts (4 days a week) Daily biking 10K - 5 days a week Going for 5K Runs or Long walk, 3 days a week. Fast Fwd November: Weight - 66.5 KGS BF : 17.7% Some days I completely felt burnt out and fasting was difficult. There were some cheat days as well. Usually the weekends were not as good. But the fat on my tummy and love handles have reduced a lot. When I reach my goal of 14 to 15% body’s fat, I’m going to switch back to 16 - 8 fasting. I felt my metabolism has gone down, hit plateau. how many calories are you eating ? I'm riding 40km/day 6/7 at a 28-35km/h pace Weight lifting 1-3 days a week The only way for me to keep my muscle is to eat 4.5k calories daily and that is on the very low end, anything less than that and i feel like shit performance wise :) To gain and feel my best 5k calories is what i need but eating clean it's alot of food :p

@@WeallAreAdults I'd say in the range of 2K to 2.3K. I bike to work, so it's not intended as part of a workout but as a general activity. Well, it isn't easy to consume 2K cals in roughly 4 to 5 hours range. 20 - 4 intermittent fast along with workouts can be difficult, you can't lift heavy. My Idea was to do a body recomp, i.e. lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. To some extent, I have been successful, But I feel, it's not as optimized as it could be.

I’m 6’4, 245lbs at around 20% BF. So I understand how tricky it can be to get in your protein needs. OMAD is great for weight loss because it’s very hard to overeat on calories with just 1 meal per day. But in terms of strength/muscle gain it’s very difficult to meet your daily caloric/protein needs in 1 meal. If you want to hit your daily protein goal in 1 meal, it would basically need to be a full plate of protein, and a lot of it. The most protein I get in a meal is about 70-80g, and that’s pretty much chicken breast with sides like veg & carbs. I’d suggest including some small higher protein meals even just 1-2 times throughout the day. Protein shakes, lean meat and veg, etc. are low calorie high protein meals you could include. It makes hitting your protein goals far less daunting if you know at dinner time you only need 40-60g of protein. Just my thoughts, not tryna be your guru here. Good luck!

They’ve addressed this question a number of times. Justin was actually skipping breakfast for a long time and once he started eating breakfast he saw his strength improve. You have to feed your body to grow. Fasting should not be a way of life, but a curveball to challenge your body to use fat reserves once in a while. Living in a low calorie state causes your body to hold fat for survival, especially in females.

Actually it’s very possible that she is. I’m a male and my TDEE - 500 cals for weight loss/cutting comes out to ~1800 cals and I’m only eating ~1600/day. I’ve been lifting for 6 years, have a ton of muscle, workout 4 days/week for 2.5 hrs and weigh everything that I eat. Even if I have a drink of alcohol on the weekend I weigh and log it. I have stopped losing weight because of metabolic adaptive syndrome. That is when after long periods of dieting and exercise your body/metabolism has adapted and no longer burns calories like when the stimulus is new. This why your supposed to break a diet every 4-6 months or so and also deload days in the gym to reset your body and metabolism.
