This week I took my shirt off at the beach and felt comfortable in my own skin for the first time in my adult life. Those who know, know how huge this is. Just FYI I'm 31. Thanks Mind pump. Just finished beginner Anabolic, going to do advanced Anabolic next and then go to strong which I just bought on the 50% off sale. 😄

MIND PUMP!! Love you guys! I have been listening to your podcast non stop during my work days. I am a newbie to strength training, already seeing some baby gains, but still have a long way to go with regards to educating myself. I've been "skinny fat" for years and never knew why I wasn't seeing progress. Your podcast has enlightened me on a lot of things I've been doing, that the fitness industry and social media shove down our throats, and getting no where! Thank you for all the information you put out there, and myths you bust. 🙏🏻

I’m glad I found this channel, I have been in the gym for about 6 months and haven’t really gotten much stronger or put on mass. I would just train to failure and not track anything. Learning about compound lifts, progressive overload, and perfect form just about changed everything I do in the gym now; I’m grateful to have found all of this out as a young man.

You can still train to failure and progessively overload. Just do one set. Look up Heavy Duty.

First time listening to you guys, the podcast is amazing! I used to be very active as a kid and teenager but now in my adult life I struggle a lot to exercise, but one thing I have clear is that if I´m not going to do things the proper way I better just don´t do it at all, for the fact that you mention here, a lot of people get into some kind of training without taking notice of forms or what muscle and joints are being afected by those movements, must people think that any activity that keeps you moving is good, not considering what could this represent for their health in the future.

I am a 73 (female) cpt (ACE)...started training at 70, didn't get fit til age 65 (200 lbs and had a hard time getting off the floor)...so I am translating what I am learning from you to my clients. As I tell everyone, I can train a group of 20 year olds and it would be the same workout...mostly, but people of a certain age....all over the place! So, the more information I have, the better I train! Thanks again

Absolutely love how you look at different perspectives when it comes to health and fitness it isn’t just one person talking you guys all contribute and then feed off of each other it just allows for so many more points of you to come across and for people to learn about how one concept applies to multiple situations and different goals which is fantastic It’s really hard to find an unbiassed topic discussion on health and fitness right now and if you listen to all of them independently you basically couldn’t eat or drink anything if it really came down to it So the fact that you guys give people actionable steps that they can actually implement into their fitness routine so that they can see your results for a variety of goals and not just strictly muscle gain or strength or weight loss is absolutely fantastic and as a coach I really admire the dedication and commitment you guys have to making sure that people understand the facts and simplifying nutrition and exercise so that someone who doesn’t want to learn and sit down and research for hours and hours can still make progress with their goals just by listening to you guys and implementing Thanks so much for the podcast

“I stopped worrying about it because I hate running.” That is so frustrating, and when I tell people I haven’t ran since I was in the Army, they usually come back with, “must be nice to have good genetics.” This attitude is so ingrained that it’s going to be an uphill battle to get the truth out there. Thank you all for changing my life!! I'm a 24 year old musician in Philadelphia. I am so happy to be able to have serious discussions with my friends and family that are trying to get into exercise and fitness, but are being mislead by so many of the myths and marketing schemes that you all talk about. I love telling people that focusing on how you feel is the most important thing, and that burning fat and calories is easier if you teach your body to do it on its own. I am a socialist and have slightly different views on some economic and political angles I hear you guys take, but nonetheless, I really respect where you come from and how great of a company you are. It would be an honor to one day get to discuss fitness and politics with you guys! I would benefit so much from MAPS Aesthetic in about 5 months after I finish Anabolic a second time. One of the best yet. I definitely relate to the "it was so hard the first time I cut weight it makes it awful now" as I rebounded hard and put on way more weight after I crashed and now I've come to a point where I'd rather enjoy my workouts enjoy my diet a bit more and stay consistent for life as apposed to giving 110% all of the time and crashing all over again.

I started cutting calories to 1200 and cardio 2 - 3 hrs per day and it only worked nicely for about three months and then I actually started to get softer .. looking so horrid and working so hard...now I just lift weights and eat maintenance. My bf keeps hounding me to do high reps, low weight to get "toned". And he thinks I should do mostly cardio to lose fat. He's stuck in the Jane Fonda Era. I've been sticking to weight lifting (heavy enough to do 6-8 reps - is that too high?) during the week and rock climbing on weekends. I hate cardio! I tell him what you guys say but he goes back to the damn cardio. We're in our mid40s. I'll just drown him out with your show.

Great show guys! Like many of your listeners I found you guys recently and listen to the podcast all the time either on KZbin or on Apple Podcast when I am in my car. I have been working out in gyms and on my own for years and have had successes and failures. Many failures are due to the mistakes you specifically address in this episode. I am three years out of having both knees replaced . In addition I have been working on losing weight in the last couple of months as I had become obese, (I know I’m a mess) however I have lost 40 lbs by reducing my carb intake and lowering my blood glucose level. I will be 61 in November and would love to hear what you guys recommend for the older guy in training with some of these issues.

Found you guys about 3 months ago and love your podcast!! and I think all my friends know that I love your podcast, since I keep talking about you guys ALL the time hahaha... anyway just wanted to comment how great it is that you brought up the "no meat" and "more intensity is better" myths. Looking at many young women in basketball (played that my whole life) I have seen this resulting in really bad outcomes like injuries, eating disorders, hormonal imbalances etc... and that's myself included since I still suffer from the consequences and have had hormonal issue for more than 15 years now due to intense overtraining coupled with restrictive dieting + cutting out meat completely (def not saying anything against vegetarians/vegans, but as a young college athlete without any meat nor dairy I did actually become deficit in many essential amino acids and also protein).... so basically it's just great that you guys always keep it real and try to help people :-)
