This animated MINDSET summary will, not only break down and review Carol Dweck's phenomenal book for you... BUT it will also show you how to apply the principles to YOUR life today! Now, that's freaking awesome!
------------------------------------------
☝️ Smash that LIKE button... if you are on committed to changing your mindset 👍👍
------------------------------------------
Carol S. Dweck is one of the leaders in personality and social psychology, so when she has something to say about how to improve your life, you know it comes backed by science and research. And when her MINDSET book has sold close to 2 million copies and has blurbs on the cover from people like Bill Gates and Guy Kawasaki... you know it has to be an amazing book. Those guys don't just put their names on any book after all!
Dweck exploded onto the scene through her TedTalk which later on became the basis of her book.
Dweck shares her best research, principles, tactics and mindsets in the book Mindset: The New Psychology of Success - How We Can Learn To Fulfill Our Potential. It is a super lengthy title, which essentially means this - how to improve your life by improving your mindset. It is a soft topic, but OMG does your mindset and outlook on life control everything about what you do and how you think. The deeper you go into the book, the more you see yourself, it is like going to a therapist, but from the comfort of your home!
With the help of this video summary, in just a few minutes, you'll be able to understand the core principles of MINDSET and most importantly - how to apply them to your own life to start seeing results. Not to mention, the video is completely FREE, while you'll have to spend a few bucks to get your own copy of Carol Dweck's book ;)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Check out these awesome FULL courses (no charge) right here on KZbin:
1) How To Eliminate Your Stress (FULL COURSE) - • Playlist
2) How To Stop Procrastinating (FULL COURSE) - • How To Stop Procrastin...
Or some of the viewer favorites playlists:
3) Most popular videos - • Most Popular Videos
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The best course of action is the following - watch this summary, learn Dweck's two core mindset - FIXED and GROWTH. Apply the tactics that are show in this video. If you are happy with the results (as you most likely will be), head over to Amazon or to your favorite bookstore and get yourself a copy of the actual book. This way you only dig deeper into the psychology of what makes you, you, only if the topic and style of the book actually appeals to you. Link above btw.
This summary gives you not only what the book is about, but how to actually apply it. Because, let's be honest, you can read the book, or listen to the Mindset audiobook... BUT unless you start applying what you've learned, nothing will change in your life.
Watch this animated summary, take action, apply the tactics to your life and you'll see dramatic results. I had the intention initially to do a Mindset Carol Dweck summary PDF, but honestly, an animated video review is so much more fun to create, and consume.
Understanding Carol Dweck's Mindset has never been easier - it only takes 9 minutes.
As always, post your comments and questions below. Smash that LIKE button and let me know what book you'd want me to summarize and review next.

Wow, this is a very informative video! I had never realized how deeply a growth mindset versus a fixed mindset can affect every aspect of our lives, from our education to our relationships and our work life! I think a growth mindset is a very important thing for everyone, children and adults, to have. The way I see it, none of us were born with any of the skills we have now. We didn't know how to count, how to feed ourselves, or even how to communicate with anyone! These were all things we had to learn from someone who already knew how to do them! I think I have always had a growth mindset, but there are always ways we can improve further. For me, one of the things I can work on to improve my mindset now that I have watched this video is my self-awareness. Often, I find myself frustrated with my lack of knowledge on a subject, like biology. Instead of being frustrated with myself for not already having this knowledge, I should take a deep breath and remind myself that I can learn about this subject, even if I don’t yet have any knowledge of something, I can learn about it. Even if it seems hard, I can still learn it! Currently, I am taking a foreign policy class. I was worried about beginning this class, because before starting this class two weeks ago, I had literally no knowledge of foreign policy. I figured it was something I didn’t need to worry about too much, because how much can it affect my daily life? Wel, as I’ve learned in the past two weeks, foreign policy affects a lot. From the prices of food to the prices of clothes, and even what we can buy on Amazon, which is wild. If I hadn’t had a growth mindset when going into this class, then I wouldn’t have been able to learn all that I have so far or be excited about learning more. I really do think it's important that each and every one of us adopts a growth mindset, even if it’s hard, because we can do anything and everything that we put our minds to.

This is simply an old Japanese strategy rehashed. It's called Kaizen, or gradual improvement. It was introduced to post-war Japan by an American and is often cited as the major reason for the huge industrial success of Japan from the 50's onward.

Only you know the answer. Don't ask advice on KZbin comments because no one knows yourself better than you. People tell what they want to do which may or may not work for you. Ask yourself and do that. It's not about making the right decisions always, make a decision and stick to your plan. Life finds a way. Good luck!
