I did too. Only a short person would hang a head butt pot like that. (Oh it will look pretty there.) I was delivering supplies to a customer. Had trouble seeing where I was walking. So I was looking down seeing my footing and bam. Smacked my head into it on two occasions. Must have happened to many others because the pot is no longer there. To make it worse. It was one of those assisted living places that is to be a safe place to be.

Had a guy die at a Cold Storage plant I used to work for. About 20 tons of metal racking and product collapsed on him. Took few hrs 4 him to pass and 2 days to dig him out. Also a guy my buddy new who worked at a carpet warehouse paralyzed himself by driving off a 6 ft loading dock. We forklift and towmotor drives have a fairly dangerous job that's for sure.

I just had to look it up. I've always called it Hydroplaning but I guess the same effect has 2 names. Aquaplaning or hydroplaning by the tires of a road vehicle, aircraft or other wheeled vehicle occurs when a layer of water builds between the wheels of the vehicle and the road surface, leading to a loss of traction that prevents the vehicle from responding to control inputs.

@@BsTheLadynred Why, that was "sweet revenge" for "hitting him in the head"...! One time my sister ran her head into the open window when she got up from underneath it and didn´t notice it being there...Ofcourse she slammed it shut after that, ...which means she had to replace the window glass afterwards, because it did NOT survive the slamming...that is natural reaction when you get hurt. Nobody blamed her for it and nobody called her "violent" for that. It doesn´t mean that you hit people too...

"The only lamppost in the parking lot..." In 1986 or '87, my family was visiting Ypres for the Kattenstoet (cat festival) and got there early in the day. The entire town square had been emptied for the event, and various parking signs & markers were all being removed -- they were all just stuck into holes in between the paving stones to make it easy. There was exactly ONE sign left in the entire expanse of open space when a compact car driven by a young man in a firefighter's uniform drove across the square, made a slight turn to its left, and scored a hit on the signpost dead center between its headlights. The sign snapped back & forth and launched itself several feet across the pavement & sidewalk (amazingly not hitting any of the bystanders), and the poor guy had to get out of his car to pick up & replace the sign while several hundred townspeople & tourists laughed at and/or roasted him. (Even he was laughing.) The best part was that his wife/girlfriend was in the passenger seat, and she was laughing so hard that the car shook. The guy quietly got in and drove oh so carefully away.... :-)

Because in the UK we only have the "Handbrake" and it's law to use it,In the USA life is more relaxed with automatic gearbox with a position P(For park) i would imagine foreign imports don't have P but a Handbrake and what's that "funny lever" for? And they find out the HARD way

@@Johnketes54 Automatics don't tend to move when in Park, but it's still good to use the handbrake (or Parking brake - not always hand operated) to take the pressure off the transmission when parking on slopes and extreme slopes (like in a city such as SF) usually have local bylaws about using Parking brakes. Then there's the old adage "use it always or use it never" - not even sure if this is still true but in the old days handbrakes used to seize up is you didn't use them regularly.

Moving a large piece of glass is always a serious matter. Eyewear and gloves are recommended. And remember that any large piece of glass (particularly cheap imported glass) can break unexpectedly when moved or bumped or twisted or thermally shocked.
