This is for the builders, who would like a passenger rail network that looks and acts like a proper train network with lines and stations you pass through on your way to your destination - in Minecraft vanillia.
This is based on some encoder/decoder redstone from Maizuma Gamesw Minecart Routing video (link below). But a different take on how the carts ar routed. In this video we support unlimited stations and there is no managing redstone in order to program the destinations. Rather its like trains in real life.... pick your side of the station for inbound or outbound, and then descide which of the stations reachable from that side of the station you want to go to. More than 15 stations? Just go to an interchange station and change trains... I mean carts.
I've spent a bit more time explaining the redstone in this one because I want everyone who wants to build it to understand how it works so they can fit it into their own worlds.
Some tips not mentioned in the video.
- The double sided stations center on the cactus, so start there if you are trying to match it to an existing location. Single sided can be a bit smaller and more towards where the carts come into the stations.
- put the detector rails to keep the minecarts going above the repeaters for the rail between stations. The easiest way to do this is to put the grid on and just do both at the start of the chunks.
- buffers are needed because the signal from a station will only go to loaded chunks. So make sure there is either a station or a buffer in the direction you are going to pick up the signal and replay it within 10 chunks.
