Silly Sjin. The charging station is all inclusive. Put coal in it, charge the item. No need for external power. It's just as efficient as the generator, just a lot faster. Don't think you can output power from it though. And I very much approve of your tech space in this. Looks great and i loved the "timelapse" of some of the crafts.

The Pogoda style has a great Nether Portal that you should use to rebuild your portal so that it fits the theme of your city.

Have you considered using Mega Torches to stop the random mobs spawning? I put 9 in a tic-tac-toe pattern in my colony. I started with you on this colony. I'm getting a university built at the moment, it's huge!

you can do a white backpack with red lines, you just put the dye above or below the backpack in the crafting grid for the lines to change color

Came here to say this :D play about with putting different dyes in different positions. You can do it multiple times, too. I made a cool mint-green backpack with green, turquoise, and white dye, and gave it brown straps.

A factory is interesting, but might I suggest a shrine on a "hill" that has technology hidden away? Imagine this: you walk up to a shrine, and set an item on a pedestal or in a saisen box. The item disappears (pulled underground into a hopper, then through a mekanism system) and then a finished product appears for you. That's just off the top of my head, but I'm sure you can think of some way of hiding technology away so that it looks like magic or something has been done with it.

When you make a warehouse, you can hook up a Storage Bus from AE2 to the warehouse block to get access to all the racks inside. The storage bus will get picked up each time you upgrade the building though.

Great builds! Love this style!! You should make walls around the town. Also, you should make a Japanese garden and/or greenhouse type build. Japanese gardens have very distinct build styles with sand and stone piles. You could also make some Asian dragon statues. I watched 5 hours straight of the HermitCraft world tour. I did finish the whole 8 hours but had to take a break to go to bed, lol. So I don't find long form videos boring. I like putting them on in the background when I play MC. So for me the longer the better. But I understand that it would take a lot of work to edit a 2 hour video. And recording that much footage can take up tons of space on your PC. So of course I understand if you can only make shorter episodes. But just wanted you to know I definitely would not get bored by longer videos.

fun fact about haikus: at two points in history, they actually had 5 lines. and the syllable count was 57577. and in one of those points in history, they were done by two people. how it went was that one person would use the first 3 lines to ask a question, and the other person would use the last 2 lines to answer said question.

I usually wait with the ME controller until I need more than 8 channels. You don't need one to run a network and IIRC, they use quite a lot of power (constantly) for early game so the longer you can do without it, the better.

If you put the backpack in the left crafting slot and the red dye next to it on the right, the straps will colour in. That way you can have a white backpack with red straps.

You should build a Shinto shrine and add cherry trees to make a beautiful garden in the front of the shrine then the Tori gate comes after,in this play through is really Serena and beautiful even though I am a Christian I love their shrine building is very beautiful and has lots of history behind them and the Tori gates are beautiful too.

If you’re looking for mods to add centered around Asian/Japanese style things; “Urushi” and “Youkai’s Homecoming” are good mods. Personally, I prefer Urushi since it adds a lot in terms of food and decor (Sake included). But YHC is also good for the same reasons too; if you don’t mind adding “Touhou Little Maid” as well with it.

Hey Sjin, you should really remove the trees in your area, since it would prevent mob from burning or potential spawn underneath. Becuase trees can be replace later and like you said during steampunk saga "Its ugly at first, later on we'll clean it later."

You should place the iron farm on top of a chest, that is connected to the computer. So you have easy access to iron from from there.

ive tried to understand ae2 and you make it seem like its easy, but ive always struggled. i find rftools or mekanisum to set up easier. hopefully soon rftool is atm10.

if you can do rftools you should be ok, Sijns system is basic, no channels, no disk/drive. He showed the special ingredients getting certus and making fluix in water, the machines you need to build controllers and screen, give it a go!

Doesn't it feel odd to restrict yourself like you do? Mega Torch would make a 64 block radius of no monster spawn, a quick nature compass to deep dark could get you an atm star and get to the Other in the nether and get gear and all sort of stuff real real fast. Both small and big changes are readily available in atm10

The style is an addon for Minecolonies. You can make a very barebones pack with just JEI, Waila (or similar), Minecolonies, and the style mod. I recommend adding a utilities mod, a map mod, and a storage mod (even in very barebones packs you collect a surprising amount of stuff). If you really want to dive into the Japanese aesthetic, that samurai arms and armor mod, a terrain generator and a food mod are good additions. Nothing completes a traditional Japanese village quite like a steep mountainside with terraced rice paddies. You should be able to get away with about 10-12 mods.

I have literally been searching the internet for a couple of hours by this point, scouring everything. I can't find it online so I was figuring it was included in the All the Mods, but I can't play it and... Sorry for the rant, I am rather frustrated at the situation and don't know how else to express it right now...

@ huh... are you using Forge or Fabric? I believe Sjin uses Forge. It should be a seperate mod that requires Minecolonies as a prerequisite. But it might be Forge-only.

@@golwenlothlindel I finally found it. I had been doing a Google search. Nothing. I searched curse forge. Nothing. I looked at the stylecolonies mod and it wasn't there either. I checked the Byzantine mod on a whim. I had no idea that it was hiding in there! I'm immensely frustrated. I have been looking for it since he released episode one... Thank you for your help. I would have kept missing it, because I was looking for it alone, not as a side note.
