I made a spell before that I used with react if I got hit. I know it would do atleast 12 thousand damage without heal negating. Because I would 1 shot a boss called "the leviathan" in one modpack. I just started a new modpack so I will see if I can recreate it

Yes, please do. I've tried doing these op spells with different elements, and they don't seem to work. Heal and Fire seem to be key ingredients to how this bypass works. I might have to explore this later by researching why Fire can allow this.

@everlasting4533 Were you wearing a full pyromancer set with a fire spell focus, bangles, immolation/kindling thread and spell power thread? Things that I totally should've mentioned in the video.

@@madhattermaker622 I didnt quite figured out what I did before, but I did make a new thing that has potential for even more raw destruction and damage. You can have 5 to 6 free glyph spaces (homing is included in the spell already) for that sweet sweet diversity of different things you can do with it. Kirin dave inspired the wrong idea about a community I feel. Gatekeeping in the name of the community was just a clever way to advertise his discord server. Sharing ideas is more powerful than gatekeeping. Granted I barely know anything about the mod I just looked up a video to find a few basic spells to get some ideas what I could do and then saw this drama thing happen. I don't plan on figuring anything like this out for some time and it will be fun when I do but this still rubs me the wrong way. So anyways to mad hatter maker thanks for inspiring to actually share with the community. I get where you're coming from obviously it also doesn't feel quite right because of the way Dave is manipulating his gatekeeping methods, he's obfuscating with some hints of truth and moral superiority. Yeah it's more fun to be forced to go and figure it out yourself and it's probably real easy to see it on the discord, but it's a matter of principle, for advertising HIS discord server by gatekeeping. The sole reason I don't quite agree with this method. It will lead others to similar things. Where now this section of KZbin will be about showing off and who knows patreon tiers for the recipe to spells.

@Arubedo I mean, I felt like that at first also, but tbh I was just bored and would've set any goal for myself at the time. The only thing that winds me up is that it only seems to be pyromancers that can exploit the invincibility frames, I tried this with the other 3 and nothing. My theory? It must be a combination of 3 damage types going off at once: Harm, Flare, and fire damage. I tested this on a fire dragon from ice and fire. Due to their fire immunity, the spell was not very effective. I'm currently messing about with computercraft, create and clock work trying to make a mech dinosaur, but I'll re-explore this some other time.

Ok, nevermind... you CAN get the first op spell I shown to get over 2k damage by using Chain. Do it like this: Self, wall, sensitive, AOE, Chain, Propergate homing, Split, Heal, Harm, Flare. Managed to reach over 5k DPS. However for low end PC users I advise not doing it like this because the only thing that spell will kill faster then your enemy is your FPS. I also imagine Chain could make the 3rd spell I showed off be even more dangerous but considering how much I lagged I won't do it. I'll let somebody more crazier then me do it. I'm beginning to realise how chain on sensitive seems to majorly increase how many projectiles we are able to make. Bit of an update, I re-created the trap spell like this: Projectile, Orbit, Wall, Chain, Orbit, split, split, heal, harm, flare and the results were NOT what I was expecting, not only did we get the damage over 2k (as well as lots of lag) but this time it didn't just multiple orbits in one area, it created multiple orbits near the area it was casted making it a very destructive spell to take out way more then just one target. I wonder if it's possible to create a spell where orbits could maybe spread and consume the world.

@Zenaku962 The target also has to be vulnerable to fire damage. What exactly is your target? A boss?

There's also another way to bypass the i-frame by using freeze with ars elemental's spell focus of cold, you got any idea how to make a spell that uses this tech?

I'm sorry, the effect is Frozen, when amplifying freeze to a mob will be effected by Frozen.

@madhattermaker622 I noticed that spell freeze + cold snap will deal damage based on the damage of the weapon your main hand is holding, for example if I put spell book in my off hand and diamond sword in my main hand with 10 damage then each cold snap will deal the same damage as a diamond sword, have you tried this? I don't know if it's a bug or an Ars Nouveau feature that already has it!

@@madhattermaker622 4:38 I noticed that your spell "ORBIT" has a blue border and mine has a purple border and it is a form of spell so it cannot be placed before projectile, I don't know why???

@ditmemayhaha123 I have tried that spell barrage but with the firework glyph and at one point I got even more damage. Still next time I go to play with ars I'll give it a try and see if it works for a diamond axe since those do more damage. Thanks

@ditmemayhaha123 Might be a version difference because in 1.20 which is what I am on the orbit glyph went from form to effect.

@IceeFish Nah, I could've looked it up or searched for it but I just never had a reason to since my main projectile spell seems to kill most my enemies with minimal effort.

@poor_screenwriters_note either extended glyphs to too many glyphs. I recommend you download both mods anyway since they still add more cool stuff.

@poor_screenwriters_note I spent ages trying to bypass Iframes without heal and got nothing. But yeah, you'd get higher dps presumably.

Are you using only pyromancer robe with spell power and kindling thread on all gear pieces? Or Fire upgrades as well?

I'm beginning to realise I should've shown everybody what I was wearing, tbh all you need is kindling because that makes your harm spells set enemies on fire for the Flare to work, spell power gives it more kick and yeah I had all the pyromancer gear including bangles and spell focus.

Do you use Ars Nouveau addons. I'm using a modpack with Ars but it doesn't have the propagate glyphs

I use Ars Nouveau addons, I'm not using any modpack I just manually picked the mods I needed and put them into my mods folder then called it a day.

Hi, I'm using the 1.20.1 minecraft and 4.12.1 ars nouveau from the atm 9, and since theres no chaining how can i modify the first spell?

Chaining is part of an Ars Nouveau Addon, it'll either be in TooManyGlyphs or Extended Glyphs so try downloading those and it should show up.

Dunno, did you forget to add kindling to your robes so that harm would set the target on fire as well as give your robes spell power thread along with all the other gear I was wearing? More importantly can the target in question be set on fire. The invincibility frames bypass seems to be a result of 3 damage types happening at once that being the normal harm, the fire damage and the flare along with the heal. Regardless I'm gonna suggest you at least experiment with the robes and threads as well since some people don't use them and it doesn't work causing them to think it can't work. Also I would have to say getting rid of the Iframe bypass would be stupid because it just allows players on singleplayer to cheese anything if they choose to and as for multiplayer well they could just get rid of the Heal glyph mostly because It's annoying to deal with a player who won't die due to heal spamming.

No, 1.20 and 1.19 are the only versions of this mod that I used, dunno about anything before those two, but I'm willing to bett it won't work.

Hey, I got fun news. While Harm Cannon and Phyrric Victory are gone, but the new ways. The new meta in 1.21 is pretty interesting. Sadly we'll never get back to 5k dps and lots of bypasses.
