I made a variant of this farm. A small addition doubles it as a very decent drowned farm. Add one layer of tinted glass to top of the farm. The drowned spawn rates are way better and you'll get tons more copper, tridents and so on. Very good farm!

I use the tower to bring the experience to me. If you are not getting the experience then try moving closer to the tower a few blocks.
