awww i wanted to grab the NOMADIC add-on too, suppose you'll have to do tower & dungeons or mythic beasts unless you wanna waste time on the buckets mod(poorly done rehash of other mods).

I think some updates need to be made and looking at three of the signals I think two British looking locomotives should be added to match the aesthetic. Also the Driller could do with a clock so it can add torches every few blocks on the tunnel wall.

Thank you for playing! There is no inherent limit to how many cars can be attached to a locomotive (besides simulated chunk distance; A car cannot be pulled if it is unloaded). Much of the attachment issues were a result of the order. It is designed to click the leading vehicle first and the trailing wagon afterward. We will absolutely be updating this pack with new trains and better user experiences!

The crossing gates are not used for signals, they are used for stopping villagers and mobs from stepping in front of your train when you’re about to cross a path.

This is like the old train craft mod for 1.7.10 i miss that mod. It was a very simplistic train mod that fit Minecraft art style very well.

Man I hate addons especially when they just replace and retexture pre existing things and replacing them like why not have proper tools like Java, is it because they don’t want there creators to outshine Minecraft on console as a whole probably since the modding community runs Java at this point 😂

Personally I think its not bad. Its simple and is basically the minecart update we'll never have. They will most likely update it to have more trains and maybe unique functionalities bit honestly I like that its easy to learn and perfect for fun survival worlds with friends. I would say all it needs is some animation tweaks, a schedule system to make functional train lines (like create), and maybe a unique rail if that's even possible in bedrock. But its a good start imo

Would love to see a taller cab for the steam engine so we can see out the windows, and the speed of the trains increased to 1.5x or 2x the running speed to make them at least faster than you can walk! Otherwise awesome mod i have been loving it

I bought this soo excited and right away was like MEH, trains cannot speed up, u cannot see very well while u drive it, it doesnt work with redstone, if u pur down activator rail u get pushed off train to the side.

Diesel electric means it generates electricity to power itself using onboard generators. Trains that can run on diesel or external electricity are called bi-mode

That Steam locomotive looks great and also like the Forney locomotive we have at home (it's not the ugliest, just remove the connecting rod touching one of the rear wheels and it's better). Also the flaw isn't even with the stock itself it's just Minecart curves don't come with wider track curves so they look awful when something that's too wide or isn't articulated takes the turn. Credit where it's due it looks great it's only that vanilla Minecraft was not made as a train sim so Minecart tracks only come in 90 degree turns.

Depending on the coupler type, the 'coupler' and 'uncoupler' would be the coupler themselves, or the person's hand, like on knuckle couplers, they are semi automatic, then the Pin-&-Link have the humans coupling and uncoupling

I believe the mod requires larger/more ideal trackwork for the systems to be appropriately operatable for the trains. I've seen a couple mod reviews for this where all the tracks are tiny. The animations aren't amazing but the utility and roleplay capabilities are largely worth it. Gradual turns using diagonal vanilla track and larger straights would likely be better used here. These trains are designed with those features in mind, not the idea of the minecarts tight turns and small hitbox. The engines not working on Redstone is also to allow for less automated work at a better cost (considering you'd be manually moving to move more goods.) Engine diversity is good for many people because it allows them to choose something they like. I ain't no modder so idk the restrictions on adding stuff to bedrock. But I feel that there's just a minor bit of confusion that makes the mod reviews a bit of a misnomer

So personally I don’t care about the reviews of this addon and here’s why. When I was growing up I wouldn’t go to a daycare service I would stay with my grandparents and my grandpa had literally 3 tables full of small electric trains for adults. So when I’m able to get it I want to get this add on to build an in game version of the tables that I grew up with in memory of him since he died when I was 10.

Lookup Traincraft. It's a mod that has everything this add-on does and has been around for YEARS, but TC is far better for a number of reasons: All engines and railcars are modeled after real life equipment with multiple paint schemes, far less buggy, optional 3D tracks with actual curves, and nicely detailed rolling stock. On top of that, most engines have a unique sound, no re-using the same sound files over and over. This add-on seems like a knockoff version of the mod that inspired it. xD

If you push the minecraft into the engine you can have it automated to work moves on it's own but it will be too fast for the car to stay coupled

As a Railfan, I’ve been waiting for trains to be added in Minecraft for a while. This kinda disappointed me though. All having the same whistle sound even though it should have a horn is extremely annoying. The steam engine’s bunker and cab don’t look good at all. The gas turbine has to be my favorite design, being based on a real Union Pacific gas turbine locomotive. But not having the tenders for the steam engine and gas turbine though is slightly annoying. The diesel looks okay, I guess… Also, the rods on the steam engine annoy me as well. If there’s a train mod that needs to be added for bedrock, it’s the immersive railroading mod. Realistic trains with great detail in that mod as well as custom track.

Why doesn't Minecraft just add the chain to be able to connect minecarts together and then bring back the furnace minecart put that in vanilla Minecraft and then add the rest in an add-on this is just too much when you already have the assets in the game to do a vanilla version

This add-on has a lot of great ideas that were poorly executed. They should've added new minecart types and the possibility to attach them to each other with a leash or wire. One cart to transport liquids, one with a crafting table, etc. And also train station possibilities (break rails, traffic lights), new rail types, etc. I expected a train add-on to look vanilla and use the already existing items to create new things.

I'd want a claiming system for multiplayer bc that's needed badly. I used to play with an addon that allows ppl to claim areas but the thing is that I was very restricted from accessing the claims or removing them but also was limited to not being able to set perms. So I do wish an addon for the marketplace gets that so we can have measured safety from any type of grief and anti-grief from any addons as a partnership with Land Claim System. I hope anyone agrees to landclaiming addons.

Please tell your friends we need a army add on. It would be awesome If it had different color army people that you could program to get along or fight with each other and different types of soldiers maybe some carry a machine gun, maybe some carry rifle and such. Maybe you could give them different orders to defend or to attack by horn sounds or something. Also add in different guns for you to use and maybe some tanks and artillery and such. I think Microsoft is afraid that if they approve the create mod to be an add-on it's going to basically replace Minecraft and lose them money but will actually happen is it will probably bring more players to Minecraft Bedrock Edition make the Bedrock players very happy so Microsoft just needs to approve the create mod already just let the create mod pass

One day i will get this addon and do you know i will do with this. In my own world im going to use this addon to build my own railway also one more thing there should be some steam engines with tenders on them like maybe an Express engine
