This could be about a world slowly corrupting in Minecraft.

Here is some MCJD lore which I pulled right out of my ass. (I made this up on the spot, so it's definitely not the best lol) Steve was a miner who died from "MCJD" or "MineCraft Jakob Disease" which is an infectious neurodegenerative disease, contracted by consuming the flesh of a mob infected with the MCJD prion. In Steve's case, he ate rotten flesh from a Zombie Villager which he killed during his adventures. What Steve did not know is that the Villager was diagnosed with MCJD prior to his zombification. Due to the Villager's zombification occurring before the disease could kill him, the Zombie Villager became a carrier of MCJD via his mob drop. Steve eventually experienced a decline. He was getting lost in mineshafts and forests more often than normal. He was forgetting which pick was his, what equipment he needed, and he was plagued by weakness, slowness, fatigue... Soon enough, close friends of his like Alex and Kai begun to notice the man's strange shift in behavior. Steve was tentatively diagnosed with MCJD. Slated to die in mere months, he had nowhere to run. Steve's wellbeing and health deteriorated more and more as the prion disease slowly but surely destroyed his brain, all the while his friends could do nothing but watch and see the rapid downfall of their once brave and adventurous friend. Eventually, one fateful morning, Alex came to check on Steve in his home. There he lay, locked in a comatose state induced by the atrophy of his brain. She attempted to get him to wake up out of desperation, but it was no use whatsoever. He was effectively Less than a week from then, it happened. Steve had died, slain by the hardcore, unforgiving nature of the disease that is MCJD. Alex took solace in the fact that Steve was suffering no more. Game Over! Side F, 46 days left At this point, nothing is recognizable anymore. Everything is broken, all of the worlds. Nothing can stop the plague that is server death. Sanity dwindling, you hastly email Mojang to see what is going on. But, you might have been too late. Side G, 18 days left After every world has corrupted to the point of nothingness, you sit in despair, desperately trying to make a new account, yet every world corrupting there too. Then your computer shuts down. It was a virus. Side H, 0 days left The year turned into months, to days, to hours, to seconds. As you sit in your chair, buying a new computer, you take solace. Was it worth it? You think it is, so yes, it was.
