Tips: 1. Cake with a candle is a different loot table 2. Push a Dragon Egg with a piston for the Dragon Egg loot table 3. Cauldron, Water Cauldron, and Lava Cauldron use separate loot tables

I love these endlessly but also I really feel like you need to modify the stakes a bit. Maybe all three bosses (I don’t recall seeing a guardian hunt in a random, and getting prepped for that is more involved than the others which just need drops and courage) and/or like, complete some kind of build?

The reason sometimes two different things drop the same candle is because of the candle cake block. Like the different colored sheep (when you get cyan wool and jungle planks), it processes it as two different drops. So usually you would get something like jungle slab with one of the candle drops. But if the secondary drop is nothing, it will seem like two blocks have identical drops.

If the captain ever plays terraria again. I would recommend playing with friends for so he can get used to the game. If he ever tries playing modded terraria here's a list of recommended mods. I still recommend play vanilla first though. Core mods ( I wouldn't recommend playing with other cores.) Regular mods (these are more add-ons or QOL mods) CORE MODS Calamity thorium Fargo's souls mods. (Check their individual mod wiki for help and load outs) Regular mods Magic storage Recipe browser Better boss health bar Boss checklist Vein mine. These are my recommendations but there are more mods that would be good to use. I'd recommend looking at the community tabs for better mod lod outs. P.S these are off the top of my head. I know there name differences between 1.3 to 1.4 on tmodloader but I'm to lazy to check. Also use the comments to recommend any more mods.

In the beginning when he broke dirt and got apples and iron I got excited because it could've been either a blacksmith chest or a stronghold chest. A blacksmith chest would provide diamonds, tools, food, armor and obsidian. A stronghold chest could give iron, food, armor and frickin PEARLS. So when he broke the jungle leaves and THOSE turned out to be the blacksmith loot drops I thought for sure that he would piece it together and harvest the dirt for easy pearls but no. Not once does the thought cross his mind and it infuriates me.

OK... SO, Jordan.... make a damn base. next time you get wood, get oldschool organized. you can do alot with just hoppers and chests (wood+iron if you can craft) make a house, even if its just claiming a cave. or digging out useless stone in smart ways. but you gotta get more organized in these, you are driving yourself bonkers.

@Oye Hoye moreover, he needs to have an auto sorter. you can sort out unstackables very easily, and have a manual sorting station for them, and every thing else can be the style where you need filler items in the chests, so that its fluid and he can bring stuff forwards. either randomized is actually so fun if you try and do normal things. but he just attempts to sprint to the end and fails for hours

@@MrKahrum that seems like something wayyyy to in depth even in an established ongoing series compared to how he usually likes to play. And this is just random loot drops, it’s a one off world and he generally won’t be coming back to any one area after he’s done there. He really is only looking for enderpearls/blaze rods, but he’s just enjoying the good loot haha, no need to set up a long term base just for breaking as many blocks as possible

@@Evie0h ... Even a 9x9 with some chests would be so helpful. A few stacked hopper minecarts straddling a few chests. He usually spends 90% of a run in one location anyways, purely because hes sorting items that arnt even in chests. On top of that he usually misses a pile of recipes/drops because hes not organized in any way.

Sorry if his gameplay frustrates you, I think there’s other random loot vods and main channel videos from some months or some years back that would be more interesting for you to watch, in some of them he travels a lot farther than this one, and doesn’t have the need for sorting items as badly.

@@Evie0h it doesnt frustrate me, it frustrates HIM and i can tell; he wants to get better/faster at this mode, but hes at a wall. simply doing these long explorations of the loot tree with a chest or two would help him so much. inventory management is more than half of the vanilla game rn, and it gets harder, not easier, with these datapacks. but currently hes just given up on that part of the game entirely.

Actually shearing a block will give a different drop if it drop that block has gives a different thing when shorn (e.g. if leaves dropped grass loot you would get the grass item for breaking them)
