BEDROCK PLAYERS There seems to be an issue with bedrock and slabs and hoppers in some versions/ platforms It is a glitch /bug I have tested on my bedrock with no probs but others are having items spit out the side If you have this issue I can only suggest you try Replacing the slab with double trapdoors or Breaking the slab and testing again ( you may have to do this several times)

How do you place double trap doors? It puts the trapdoor in the block above where the lava should be.

If you are building this in bedrock then use a Trapdoor instead of a slab inside the lava chamber so the eggs dont drop out the bottom 😊

I did it exactly how you did it and it the thing I placed to try and see if it works didn’t come out of the bottom dropper but the only thing I could think of that went wrong is the hoppers in not sure why

I'm currently trying to make it in bedrock, love the design, but instead of passing through the slab over the hopper items get dispensed onto the ground underneath the hopper. Any ideas on how to adjust it?

For bedrock items tend to be getting stuck on slabs lately so unfortunately you need to break and replace the slap multiple times until you get one that functions correctly. This worked for me on bedrock PS4.

Just replace the slap in front of the dispenser with a warped trapdoor that's it.

I'm a bedrock player too. I solved the problem by using a spruce trapdoor insteand the slab, it worked for me :)

Place another hopper under the dispenser that is connected to the others to catch what is dispensing

i'm having issues with the hopper above the dispenser not picking the eggs up automatically and the dispenser doesn't spit out the eggs automatically either, i have to keep flicking the lever for it to work, the slab is placed correctly. I'm playing on 1.20.4 java.

For anyone on bedrock with the dispenser dropping straight down and not thru the slab, put a block under the dispenser, it causes everything to go thru the slab, easy fix

Saw a few other comments but figured I’d leave my own. I’m on bedrock. When I place 2 items into the bottom dropper they both get spit out the top dropper.

I love the idea I may not be finished yet but when I add redstone dust to test it it doesn’t go in the hopper and falls out I figured it was because of the slab is it bad that the slab isn’t there or is it still fine?

I did everything you did with the exact same items, but the hopper doesn't drop things into the dropper. I did put the comparator on subtraction mode and all the hoppers are lined up. The droppers are also all facing upwards. Any idea why it doesn't work?

i made this in a previous server I was in and made it into another server. For some reason though the dispenser dispenses the eggs, but nothing is spawning. I tried the slab, a trapdoor, nothing, and taking out the glass. I am on java Better Minecraft mod 1.20.1. Its not the chunk because I can spawn them when I throw them and idk what else to do :

Weirdly enough, I can get it to work on Bedrock when I'm in a world that started as creative, but if it started as survival, it won't dispense through the slab no matter how many times I break and replace it. The trapdoor doesn't seem to work because it's not tall enough for the full-grown chickens to hit the lava and I can't for the life of me figure out how to make double trapdoors. Bummed I can't get it to work on my survival realm, it's so cute!!

I found a workaround! If you also place a slab to the right side (that's where it was spitting out for me) the baby chickens will end up in the right spot, even though technically they are still being dispensed incorrectly. The downside is you have to sacrifice the lever, but that was fine for me.

I tried follwonf this tutorial on bedrock but the hopper isnt getting through the end it only goes into the bottom hopper under the slab and thats it i canf get it to woro any other way

I figured it out, you have to crouch when putting the hoppers down so you can click directly on the one next to it without opening it

Shouldnt be a problem StephyJean I dont believe there is any differences in the mechanics for recent bedrock but I will test as soon as I get a moment and in the mean time you could test ( just the chicken redstone part) in creative and let me know if you do find issues and Ill work out a solution for you

Only thing with bedrock right now is our slabs are broken so in items are dispensed under the break and replace the slab until you get one to function properly 😂

I was having that issue for a bit and I'm on Java but I fixed it. Gotta make sure you have a hopper under the slab too. That solved my problem. I must have missed it

Same! I’m on bedrock I used a trapdoor at first but the chickens weren’t hitting the lava so I used a slab but the raw chicken and feathers would just get burnt up in the lava and it didn’t matter how many chickens I would put in there, I would only get one feather and one cooked chicken, also after every round of testing it out I would check all the hoppers and all droppers and nothing I would only get 1 feather and 1 cooked chicken every time I loaded more chickens in 🤔🫤 I’m on version 1,21,2
