Looks nice, but it's completely useless. It burns fuel (kelp blocks) faster than new blocks are produced. 34 kelp plants are far from being enough to feed even one smoker without bonemealing. I'm thinking about creating huge kelp plantation underground and redirecting its output into this farm, which will work as a kelp dryer/packer.

An update to my previous post. I built an additional kelp farm with 56 plants right under the building and connected its output to the kelp block farm using bubble column elevator. This made the farm work with a positive balance, i.e. it produces more kelp blocks than it burns for drying kelp. But it's still not working as expected. Only one smoker is operational, four remaining smokers stay idle as all the kelp goes into the first smoker. My estimate is that one smoker can fully process yield from 95-100 kelp plants, hence I need ~400 additional plants in order to make the farm work with full power.

Second update. Just confirmed my estimations with Minecraft wiki. Kelp has a 14% chance to grow by one block when it receives a random tick. An average time for any block to receive a random tick is 4096/3 = 1365 game ticks. Thus, an average kelp growth speed is 1365 / 0.14 = 9750 ticks per block. It takes 100 ticks for a smoker to process a single item. And here comes the conclusion: you need 9750 / 100 = 97.5 kelp plants if you want to dry them in a smoker without any leftovers or idling. Of course, this number is just an average as kelp growth is controlled by random, but in a long-term run it should be correct.

Thanks for the info! As i mentioned in the video , you should turn off all the smokers but first one When other hoppers on top of other smokers are full , turn them all active to burn the kelps and after finishing job , turn them back off to rest a little 🍻

But as a professional programmer I don't stop if something doesn't work as intendent and try to debug and fix it after looking into documentation :)

do i need to turn off all the smoker everytime in a while? because when i turn 1 smoker the hopper never fill with kelp, and never reach the furthest smoker, thank u

Yah , But it Depend on You . i for myself set the firs one ON , and Others Set to Off , When all The Hoppers Get Full of Kelp , i will turn all of them on
