I’m here to let everyone know that I used this farm a month ago and today it wasn’t working until I fixed the observer, dispenser, lava, and wooden trap door parts and it worked again and I figured out it was because I kept on leaving the area whenever I do something else and don’t have the flip switch on the dispenser. Make sure you guys turn it off every time you leave the area so it won’t fuck up the farm.

For anyone wondering, no this unfortunately does not work on Java. I couldn’t get any zombified piglins to walk through the portal, even after breaking and relighting the portal more than 20 times, on hard mode as well.

For anyone having issues with pig zombies spawning on the nether when you go through your own portal. You need to make sure they dont go through the giant portal. They shouldnt be able to, but I figured this is a bug. Just place some slabs above the blocks where they spawn so they can not jump while they slide through the water, and they will stop going through the portal. I died two times to a bunch of pig zombies waiting for me at the other side of my own nether portal and fixed it this way. Hope it helps, since I saw no one really addressing this issue in the comments

@@remind_me513 As far as you can. I recommend 120+ blocks. If you are son a multiplayer world there is a glitch where if someone else has the portal in simulation distance and someone is using the farm, wherever your main nether portal is will fill up with pigmen

OK GUYS if you’re having trouble figuring out which side your pigmen spawn on: -it may take 5 minutes or so to get one to generate -set render distance to 5 chunks -wait a minute after you break the portal before you relight it -try lighting the portal at night I was having difficulty and thinking perhaps I’ve messed it up because I built it very close to spawn and my nether portal that I use to travel back and forth, but after meeting these conditions I was able to get pigmen to spawn! Thanks for such a great farm design!

I read the wiki and you can guarantee a spawn by "portal ticking" them. basically just keep breaking and relighting quickly. None of this stuff will help except that apparently, I portal ticked and got a spawn quickly

If you cant tell which side the pigmen come from set your render distence to 5 (in video in settings) set your dificulty to hard and break the obsidian, relight it wait a minute or two then relight it

I made this in the air so when the pigmen fall, I'll be on ground level with my other farms. What I did differently is the platform on the bottom of the drop I placed 4 hoppers with slabs on top so I could kill them and the drops syphon into a chest infront of the killing platform.

I built a small item sorter system to catch gold and destroy all the flesh and swords. Swords were more trouble than they were worth to smelt down or disenchant. Adding an enchanting room is also a plus.

You can stack it by building directly off the portal below(bottom farm requires 36 obsidian/top requires an additional 27 for the top and sides of the frame) then build the exact same housing area of glass and stone except 1 block shorter in length. Place a button at the drop hole on the top farm so the water doesnt flow down and the pigmen don't fall the full length to the bottom.

This works insanely well if you stack it! Hardest part was hollowing out the 17x9x22 hole under my base. But with a total of 108 obsidian, 4 dispensers, 12 observers, 12 trap doors, 4 levers(unless you combine them with redstone which i recommend), and a bit of glass and stone, it's so good that just in the time it took for me to place 3 additional hoppers/double chests, it spawned enough pigmen to fill one of those double chests. Just be sure to reduce the water ramp length and drop hole by one(use a button on the side of the drop hole) so that they fall into the water on the farm below instead of plummeting all the way down.

@@HydraLikesPlaying I'm uploading one to my channel now. The build and video are janky but it gets the job done. Just pay close attention to how far I have the water streams going, where they stop, and how they're stopped. This keeps piglin from falling the full length from top portals all the way to the killing chamber. The slabs and dirt backing are not necessary btw. I realized I had left a temporary block near a top portal that piglin were spawning on after I tried to spawn proof the area with slabs. No spawn proofing is necessary outside of what's shown in the original tutorial video. For the lava/water switches, just mirror them from the left side to the right. I understand there may be a more compact way to do this but it's just what I realized would work and therefore implemented.

This farm works wonders on bedrock. I put it on my friends realm and now we have infinite exp and gold. I made a little modification to it though. I built the farm you made but I made the collection system drop into a main water line. Then I built about 10 more farms and connected it to the same main water line which would then drop all the farms produce into one killing chamber. I Hooked up a trident killer and an auto sorter which would smelt the swords. It works so fast I had to add a couple tridents and add more blast furnaces in order to not back up the drops and to not have too many zombified piglins. Thank for this. Great tutorial

I used this model, but added a small item sorter for the loot because my chests kept getting clogged up with golden swords. I had chests catch the gold nuggets and ingots, but the rotten flesh and swords went out a dropper into a lava pool to delete the unwanted items. Also added an enchanting setup in the same room so I could spend levels while gaining them😎

Trident killers sucks, it is good for items but for xp it is just a shit

i just built this in my sky world 120 blocks above my survival island. works great. all you have to do is afk for 2 to 10 minutes. use a looting diamond sword. i am crediting you and this video. thank you @OinkOink

Yes you can actually make 4 of them just gotta get the pigman flowing through the same channel

@@tannerlove6434 i did that too- but if you connect them all to one falling tube but from different streams it slows down so make them fall from different y levels but only like a two block difference

@@speedyslayer8570 you could make them side by side to each other bc one said is taken up by a lot of space due to the observer crap so it would be best to try and get it on the other side feeding in to the same hole

The hardest part of this tutorial was the coal! Not that it’s required for the tutorial lol but to light up the area with torches so other mobs don’t spawn! Amazing tutorial my man went from level 5 to level 20 and that’s just from finishing the build after it’s initial start up! SO OP

I tried it on creative and it worked. I’m trying to light the portal in survival to see which way the pigmen come out but none are coming. I’ve gone through 2 flint and steel trying. Fire spreads are on and it’s on normal. (Normal worked for creative!) Only different is I’ve built it underground in survival. Could that affect it?

Does the nozzle of the hopper feeds towards the chest? You cant just put hopper like any other blocks ,you need to touch the direction in which you want it to feed the items

You can make an auto-kill version by placing pointed dripstone (Stalagmites (which point upward)) on top of hopper

Today Only I came to know.. For Java we can build at any height.. But for bedrock above y=0.. Obsidian Block should be placed at Y=1

EDIT: ASK QUESTIONS BELOW - I HAVE 3 OF THESE GOING NOW. GREAT XP, PRETTY EASY TO BUILD. Aye I messed up. I made an original portal out of an abandoned one a couple hundred blocks away. I went through that portal. Then, I built this farm. About 300-ish away. It takes me to that one in a Piglin crossbow people biome. Nothing is spawning out of the farm portal. Did I mess it up? Any advice? Thank you

It’s worked for a while but suddenly stopped working, the observers do not affect the dispenser and is not spilling water, how do I fix this? (Edit: nvm I got it working again, I just had to rebuild the water dispenser mechanism after rejoining the world)
