I just love HC YTers who show their stats. It’s so easy to tell if anything was cheated. You can track blocks placed, and time played and number of deaths and mob kills. And also be able to tell if they used any illegal blocks or if they gave them self any items. You can just factor in the farms that they have, and you’d be able to tell which items they got legit or from commands.

Look mum, I made it 1:43! Jokes aside, I hope the Open to LAN thing is removed from hardcore in a future patch. I'm sure people would find other ways to cheat, but the fact that creative mode is a couple clicks and a command away in what is supposed to be the hardest difficulty in the game just doesn't make any sense. I first discovered hardcore through Philza's famous death, and was hooked by that feeling of risk. Knowing that you're always a single mistake away from losing everything, which makes every small feat feel like an accomplishment. Good luck with your series! This is why i love creators who stream their hardcore worlds. Philza's hardcore streams are very comforting to me, but also impressive as they show how much actual work goes into a big and developed hardcore world. I can see the hours he pours in while gathering reasources for builds and farms and even with top of the tops best enchanted gear and strategy, it still takes him hours. Not to mention the fact that if he makes one even small mistake, he might lose it all (again lmao). Honeslty, hardcore creators can easily beat any cheating suspicions by simply streaming the world from time to time, but i guess its not as clickbaity as "IVE SPEND 100 DAYS IN MINECRAFT HARDCORE" videos.

The thing that bothers me about modern hardcore minecraft content is that by episode 2 or 3 its just a creative world but they have to collect resources and can't fly. Theres no real feeling of danger when its just some dude spending a thousand hours to make a gigantic mega base with a massive storage system with a ton of items theyll never use. It's pretty easy to survive 100 days with no skill if you are careful and methodical about it. Basic rules: 1. Keep danger away with walls, light, and sleep, from the first day onward. Internalize your farms into your base. Secure your Nether Portal, etc. 2. No tempting fate. Don't do anything you can't afford to screw up once you're far enough not to scrap the run. Levitation from shulkers? Make sure you have a safe landing zone. Don't go out with tools in red durability. Don't jump crit the dragon. 3. Keep your base and inventory idiot proof. No lava or open pits to fall into. Don't have lava on your hotbar without water. Keep an extra shield. 4. No relying on luck. Assume there is a ghast that will shoot at you on your bridge, a magma cube that will fall on your head, your basement is in a slime chunk, there's a dripstone biome below you, gravel under lava above you, and you're about to mine into a lava pocket. 5. Hedge your bets if disaster strikes. Pearls, Elytra, full diamond/netherite armor with Prot IV, Feather Falling, and mending, fire resistance, multiple totems and golden apples, a large supply of cooked meat or golden carrots, multiple different situationally appropriate ways to MLG or mitigate fall damage, etc. Always keep blocks and a full set of well-maintained tools, including shovel and hoe. It wouldn't hurt to keep a bucket of milk on you either, as well as something to prevent drowning. 6. Trade skill and speed for security. Cheese every encounter. With some very basic game knowledge I think just about anyone should be able to survive 100 days hardcore mode. Now, these probably aren't all strictly necessary. You could always get the Elytra within 30 minutes and then fly around giant caves critting out mobs and gathering ores under pressure for 30 hours without ever making armor or a shield, but I'm saying if you want to do hardcore easily and safely, maybe don't do it that way.

finally FINALLY someone pointed this out. I wish i found this earlier, because holy crap, even i struggle to not cheat sometimes. It sucks to lose everything halfway across the world even on normal mode, and i routinely have to install mods to prevent this open to lan cheat. Seriously, it's SO insanely easy to use that to cheat your way through the game on any difficulty.

No it does not. Bitcoin peaked in 2017 and the graph showed a massive decline in 2017

5 months old, sure, but please try and avoid having the background music contest the main audio. It’s meant to be in the background, just a little bit quieter would help :)

I was watching one of your shorts and decided to watch the full video after i did that i went to see your sub count and was surprised it was so low i expected at least 100k because the content is so good. What i wanted to say is keep pushing man and things will happen you will reach 100k in no time.

To add, you could legit just play creative and make a ton of huge builds while switching in and out of survival to make it look like you're playing, and you can use /time add to just make the day whatever you want people to think it is.

i thought everyone knew how increadibly easy it was to turn on cheats. i just always assumed that if a hardcore youtuber dosent show the bulk of the grindy work, then there is a good chance that they are cheating

i just always assume that if they cut out the grindy aspects, they didnt want to make the viewer watch hours of grinding.

Forge labs is a very weird exception to this. They make a hardcore world, but when they die they just respawn in non-hardcore world. But at the same time they openly say they do it?

yo be VERY careful with sleep deprivation. people have experimented with it in the past and had horrendous results. 1 all nighter is one thing but pushing into multiple days is dangerous so really consider if that part is worth it

I've been getting into the KZbin subgenre of ambitious Minecraft builds in hardcore. I enjoy watching the content a lot but I suspect that most of these hardcore worlds are backed up. From the point of view of a big content creator, it would seem to be too much risk to lose several years of hardcore world progress in a mundane, off stream death. The thing that would be the far more dishonest cheat is if they were switching to creative mode to skip resource collection and speed up the build progress, which I suspect some of them are.
@JoeBountyHunter Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's also possible some of them are using cheats and mods to paste in the builds and skip even more of the work. I don't think it's a very common issue, but it's not very difficult if you know which mods to use.
