Honestly, this is the smallest build I found for a helicopter that doesn't look like trash, and it's already slightly too big to look right on my helipad. Swapping out the smooth stone for smooth quartz and the cyan terracotta for a different color or perhaps concrete + setting the rotor blades at an angle (2/2/1 off the diagonal) will also help make it look a little less formulaic. I'm also dropping some gray carpet on the rotor blades to prevent snow build up/mob spawns, and I think that looks nicer too. Also adding a chair inside. On top of that, swapping out the black glass panes for something lighter will help with the pallet change; I opted for white. This should get me a slightly more pleasing build that looks a little more like an actual helicopter, mind you, it's supposed to be an old one that's just been left sitting, so I'm sticking with terracotta for a weathered look, and don't need any lights on. You might also swap the block above that hole he uses to make the lights blink with a light source to give a pleasant underglow. I'd recommend a soul lantern, personally. You can also put the redstone torch powering the piston for the rotor on one of the blocks beside it instead of the block below it. This lets you put in a bed, and if you slap a trapdoor against the redstone torch, it'll be closed to make it look more like a chair seat while giving you a place to sleep.
