If you are on Bedrock edition, change the 1-tick repeater (3:12) to 2 ticks. However, if your last two digits repeat, leave it at 1 tick and apply the fix (6:06) regardless of how many digits you have. This will prevent the last number in your combination from falsely accepting other numbers. Edit: Wow apparently this design has been beaten. Still held the record for 3 weeks though I guess.

@@agsilverradio2225 Basically I was attempting to beat the record at the time, and had to keep it within certain dimensions. Additionally, in the video I advise not to repeat the last two digits, however I still presented a solution to show that it was still possible and not a fatal flaw of the design.

The reason I ask, is that that I'm planing to build this for somone else, who could set the combo to anything, and I won't know. (I would of course, give them written instructions on how to set and use it, but I wouldn't be privy to know the combo when I build it.)

my one gripe about this amazing video is that some of the replay shots, although cool, are very fast and could be a problem for people who get motion sick easily or have photosensitive epilepsy. I was showing this to a friend and they had to turn away because it was, as they said "too moovey and spinny"

I want to use a crafter as an input, and have 0 as a valid input. ... I have figured out that you can do this by puting a redstone block behind the input, seting the compairitor to subtract. then run another comparitor into the side, and make that your new input. This will invert the signel strength, so that 0=15, 2=14, 3=13, etc. Note: if you do this, you will also have to invert the signel strenth comming out of the barrels, to set your combo. You will also have to rotate the whole thing 90°

The signal on mine wont travel down past the second layer, getting stopped at barrel with shovels in it i believe. Did they patch this out for bedrock version 1.21.2?

Hey, I built the combination lock, but it doesn't work. When I click on 5, 9 and 2 the signals are giving, but it isn't activating anything, my iron door doesn't open, even tried to fix at the end, nothing worked. Help?

If it doesn’t work, then it means you built it incorrectly. You can either rewatch the video and step by step go through your contraption and find the issue that way, or rebuild it. Either way is most likely just as fast as the other.

I’m having a bit of an issue, and was wondering if anyone knew a fix. I have built the lock for a 5 digit code, but there are times I will need to input the code 4-5 times before it registers. Is it possible to make the system a bit more reliable?

I don't supose this machine can take signel strength zero as an input, can it? ... I'm gonna be using the upcoming autocrafter as the input, and I want to be able to use didgits 0-9.

It can’t take signal strength 0 as an input, but if you want to use ss0 from the auto crafter you can use a ss adder or something to offset it to 1-10.

im really confused, how do i set a number combination? i wanna set it to 1 9 6 9 1 but i have no idea how that corresponds with a signal strength (if that makes sense), any help?

Starting at the top barrel and going down, put 0 shovels in the first barrel, followed by 14 shovels, 8 shovels, 14 shovels and 0 shovels at the bottom barrel. Each button sends a different redstone signal strength and each layer compares that input with the signal strength in the barrel to check in the input is correct.
