This video made me realize something. I don't think goliath structures themselves are strange, I think a structure with a lack of use or inefficient use is what makes it feel strange. Imagine a world with massive solid structures that are just there, perhaps in an abandoned world. Those structures might not even be buildings or have an interior. It reminds me of the Mirror Dimension SCP. I think this is the same reasons that pictures taken in what would be a populated building are seen as strange, or liminal space. Perhaps also things that look out-of-place.
